Simple Woman’s Daybook, Monday, March 9

simple-woman-daybook-smallFor Today

Outside my window it’s grey. But the glass is clear.
I am thinking that I worked really hard today cleaning that one window.
I am thankful for having this place to hole up in.
From the kitchen all is quiet. But dinner will begin happening soon.
I am wearing black sweatpants, Chico’s white t-shirt, long-sleeve white shirt and fluffy white socks.
I am creating some photos in Photoshop at the moment.
I am going to start dinner really soon. I promise.
I am reading a Rolling Stone magazine, the one with Bruce Springsteen on the cover.
I am hoping that our DirecTV HD box comes on Tuesday like they said it would. Ours broke today and my husband really misses the TV. I think I may, as well.
I am hearing cars on the road way down at the bottom of the hill. Earlier we heard the song of the ice cream truck in the development next door.
Around the house it’s looking a little cleaner. But those windows are really a bugger to do.
One of my favorite things is crystal clear windows.
A few plans for the rest of the week include a funeral for my friends’ father.

Here is a series of picture thoughts I am sharing:

Delaware Memorial Bridge heading into New Jersey. I think I like the last one best. Or the middle.

For more of the Simple Woman’s Daybook, visit this site. I haven’t linked to them but once, but I like finishing the sentences every week. It’s a simple thing for me to do. And I just like the repetition.

Have a great week and until tomorrow, my friends . . .

In order, Michelle Black’s texture on first two, ghostbones on last.

I know I've said it before, but I really enjoy seeing your photos + texture. And your photos of George. My two goldens look over my shoulder when he's on the screen.

The bridge shots are great. My favorite is the middle one.

It's a neat way to mindful of the details in the everday moments

Funny; I like the first one best. It is most evocative of "big city," heat, grime, population density. I love your new header; gorgeous!

Love your new header and your pictures (as always!). Have a wonderful evening!

I like the sky in the third photo the best. It looks like marble or granite.

I think that first one is my favorite. Bridges are good no matter how you look at them though.

I like the first one best - but it's all a matter of taste because they are all wonderful.

Been on that bridge a few times. But I never saw it in that light.

I love crystal clear windows too, especially when the sun is shining on the land.

Travelled the Delaware Memorial Bridge every week for two years in the late 1990s when my mother was dying in NJ. One of my favorite parts of that six-hour trip was that breathtaking span.
Thanks for the memories!

I like the last one best too .. and my windows arent hard to clean come on over and I'll let you see for yourself ... ;-)

We're getting a new DVR box from those wonderful outsourcers for tech help Time-Warner on Tuesday too .. make sure you tell your guy to double check they didnt muck up your internet connection in the process ... I say this because that's what happened to us last time T-W was over to 'help' with a DVR issue

Lovely shots of the bridge - I think I like the first one -with only a few cars - best. Interesting reading about what you are doing too.

WOW.. how is it that I missed you!!
I love your writing that just carry me along on your thought waves then gently sets me down. Makes me want to say "where have you been all my life?" :)
Beautiful pictures also.
I love bridges and I have so much to catch up on.
