Time Wastes Too Fast: An artist’s tour of Monticello

While having coffee this morning and visiting my favorite blogs, I stumbled upon an absolutely wonderful link provided by Jeannelle at Midlife by Farmlight. After visiting the link she posted, I wrote her and told her that I was going to shamelessly steal it and post it here.

Click on the words below to visit an article that was published  in this week’s New York Times, and was written and illustrated by artist Maira Kalman. Prepare yourself to be enchanted and enlightened.

And for all those out there (you know who you are) who are crushing on Mr. Thomas Jefferson, you will not be disappointed.

Time Wastes Too Fast

I hope you enjoy. Until tomorrow, my friends . . .

  1. Thank you Kate! This is wonderful!...Jefferson has to be the most interesting of our founding fathers...Monticello is a place I have been hankering to go to for a long time & my in-laws don't even live that far away from it...I can see this being published as a picture book...

  5. Thanks for the mention and for passing this link onward. Of course, I can't take credit for finding the link....I stole it from blogger Sempringham. Yes, Thomas Jefferson has to be one of the most fascinating characters in American history and Maira Kalman certainly found a unique way to showcase his life and home.

I love history and Lincoln and Jefferson were favorite reads starting in gradeschool when I learned to read.

And what a great gift from Maira Kalman. I'm so glad you found it and shared.
