While I was sleeping

I enjoy sleeping late on the weekends and for me, sleeping late means getting up around 8 am. I mentioned yesterday that my husband (and the dog) were discussing the fact that I’m on a three hour time difference than they are.

And thank heavens no, the dog doesn’t answer back.

While I was sleeping this morning, I happened to have missed an awesome sunrise. But I didn’t really miss it, because I got to see it through the eyes of my husband via the beautiful photos he took.

This was our sky on this hot morning in Maryland.

You can barely see our house on the right. I just can’t believe this gorgeous color, can you? My, oh my.

I love these ever-changing colors. And the clouds! They are just so beautiful.

{This} is the first post I did entitled “While I was sleeping”. I’d just begun blogging and it was one of the first times my husband used the new camera.

I think he’s come a long way, baby.

All photos taken with a Nikon D80 and the 18-55 kit lens that came with the camera.

Love,

PS ~ The weather broke finally and the breezes coming through my living room window as I write this are incredibly sweet and cool. Oh, happy day.

  4. What a great combo ~ you sleep in, he clicks the pics ~ you do the photo processing ....

.... and you both get the credit!

This is definitely a marriage ~ maybe one made in photography heaven!

Keep up the combo work! Because it works!

  18. I saw a similar sky back at Christmas time but it was an evening sky, and I also had to take photos so I could remember it!

Glad you got to see it through hubby's eyes!

  19. I was up early yesterday, but we didn't have this sunrise just a few miles south of you. If I had seen it I would have expected what we got in the afternoon. We were put under a Tornado Warning and it got bad.....goosebumps bad.....
I love the early morning more than any other part of the day....
How lucky for all of us that hubs was up to capture this light show.
Tell him thank you for me!!!!

When I worked at a nursing home I had to get up every day at 5 AM..this was not natural for me and the only thing I miss is the sunrises:)...now I'm inclined to get up at 8 too...Those sunrise photos are stunning!...but I believe the saying goes "red sky in morning sailor take warning"...Hope bad weather is not on your way:)
