They say in the end it’s the wink of an eye
And when the morning light comes streaming in
You’ll get up and do it again.
Amen.
I heard that old Jackson Browne song on the way to work this morning and it’s been running through my head all day long. It’s pretty, and I used to love Jackson Browne.
I had nothing today as far as photos to share with you. So to amuse myself this evening, I posted a single photo I took during each month of 2012. After the first three, I realized I had a bird thing going on, so I kept the photos strictly to birds. I should make my own calendar. Ha.

MARCH 2012

ReplyDeleteMy favorite Jackson Browne song. Absolute favorite.
ReplyDeleteOf course you should make a calendar. These are fantastic.
Oh my, yes. You should do a calendar. All the photos are lovely, but May's made me catch my breath!
ReplyDeleteThat little house finch looks pretty happy!!
ReplyDeleteYou should make a calendar...gorgeous shots!

That hawk looks so regal. I have a love hate relationship with hawks. I know it is the whole circle of life thing, but I hate that they think my birdfeeders are their personal buffet. My poor little birdies.

Love it! You SHOULD make a calendar for real.....
ReplyDeleteNot that you asked my opinion but May pic is my mostest fave followed by August then September then all the wonderful rest :-)
Wow, they are all great! You do birds so well and have such a variety. I love watching and photographing birds lately, too, but our varieties are so different here in AZ.
ReplyDeleteLove, Love, Love!
ReplyDeleteIsn't that female cardinal so beautiful? I do think she surpasses the mr.
It seems the only photos of my own that I print is into a calendar which I make for myself and as gifts each year. I can't tell you how much I enjoy looking at it each day...it just makes me feel good:) You should make that calendar or print them all up for a wonderful display!
I absolutely love all of these photos - especially the cardinals - I miss them more than any of the other birds. Colorado has gorgeous birds too, but .... no cardinals. A calendar of your bird photos would be a total treasure! Love that JB song too. Stay warm and dry. ~chris
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI liked that VERY much...especially the hawk!! How cool!!!
ReplyDeleteYes...a very nice calendar indeed.
ReplyDeleteAnd I remember the Jackson Browne days too.
These are portraits, as great as any I've seen...and the subjects just happen to be birds. Their personalities and grace are in the photos; I so love them.

ReplyDeleteLove the hawk, wow! although I know he was stalking birds..lol..
I did indeed like - why not make it as a calendar and sell it for your favourite charity?
ReplyDeleteJust stunning! Indeed, it would make for a beautiful calendar.
ReplyDeleteYup snow's a coming. I woke up to the most spectacular red-orange sunrise. And you know that old saying: "Red sky at morning, sailor take warning."
It's the weekend! YIPPEE!
I still love that man, had his 8 tracks, then records, and now cd's
ReplyDeletewhat a cool idea ...
ReplyDeleteTell me when it's available. I would buy a copy.

Kate, I enjoy your blog and read it regularly - I am one of the 'lurkers' although I have commented a few times.
ReplyDeleteMy husband simply loves your December picture. I went on your etsy shop site to see if it was for sale but it says you are on holiday.
I love the bird photos you take - you definitely should make a calendar, I'd buy it!!
ReplyDeleteI like the red cardinals. We don't have red cardinals in Europe.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend, gr. Hanny.
They are all great but love that October hairy woodpecker and the colors! Also, I'm wondering if the hawk that visits me is a sharp-shinned hawk vs a Cooper's? What do you think on my last post???
ReplyDeleteYou *should* do a calendar! And maybe some notecards, too. Those are absolutely lovely.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos! You should DEFINITELY make a calendar! All the birds are beautiful, but my favorite is the Eastern Bluebird because of his vibrant blue hue (LOL), followed a close second by the male cardinal for his equally vibrant red. I think I heard a cardinal's song in the air a day or two ago, and had to pinch myself because I thought I was dreaming. I hope I wasn't, of course, because I am more than ready to put this cold winter behind me and enjoy some spring!
ReplyDeleteYes you should ..... these are awesome!
ReplyDeleteand they make my heart sing (and it needs a song right now)
Kate, these are wonderful! I especially love the hummingbird. Perfect capture.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
The female cardinal is so regal...just love it!!! Made me smile and its nice to start a day with a smile. All the best.

Liked .. I loved it.
ReplyDeleteThank you for making my morning. Nothing like having coffee and seeing the world through your eyes.
Hope you have a fabulous weekend with George .. and your H too of course.
xo,

All are so grand! Since we have no cardinals in the west, they always call to me.
ReplyDeleteI love them all, but the bluebird is my favorite! May is my favorite month and I am anxiously awaiting it!
ReplyDeleteA calendar is a great idea--you should do one for next year!
