Goodbye sunflowers

We're moving from this farm because my husband's position has been terminated. It's what's had me down lately, because you all know how much I love it here.
But there's going to be a silver lining in this cloud. I know this much is true.
I'll talk to you about it later, ok? For now, I just want to enjoy the sunflowers and our garden and take pictures while I can. Aren't these just so cheerful looking?

  7. Dang. That's hard! Been there a few times myself, over the years - might be going through it again, soon. It was fun when we were young and childless. It's not so fun anymore. :-/

At least you've got your cheerful sunflowers and a silver lining to look forward to. :-D

  16. When a door closes, God opens a window. Try not to get discouraged by the roadblocks life throughs at you...usually it's for the best and if we look really hard, there just might be a better opportunity ahead, just waiting for us to find it. I have faith that you will find your silver lining, Kate. Like the sunflower, keep your face to the sun :)

    Hugs,
    Debra

  19. Giving up what you know is always hard. It is even harder when you love what you know.
But sometimes the unknown surprises is and isn't so bad.

  20. Omigosh, I wondered what had been going on with you lately. That is so sad.

When I look back at the times in my life when I have had to move on to another chapter, I realize now that the next chapter was always better. It never seems so at the time, however. As Dr. John says, giving up what you know - and love - is always hard.

We will look forward to hearing about your new adventures and seeing your wonderful photographs.

Sorry to hear this news. What is that saying, though....."When God shuts a door, He opens a window." There are good adventures awaiting you guys, I'm sure, and you will look back and see it all as a blessing.

    The sunflowers are gorgeous!
