The Simple Woman's Daybook, a day late

Outside my window the air is chill.
I am thinking that an oatmeal cookie would be good right about now. But then I say no. You don't need one.

I will probably end up saying yes, though.
I am thankful for my husband's doctors. They're really great.
From the kitchen, I can hear my husband washing the dinner dishes. It's the most wonderful sound.
I am wearing fleece pants, a long-sleeve tee in white and a big bulky sweater. In a carmelized butter color. With my sheep slippers.
I am creating a photo book on Shutterfly.
I am going to get that cookie, but am pretending not to hear its taunts coming from the kitchen.
I am reading Boy's Life by Robert R. McCammon. It's good so far.
I am hoping that my son does well in school this semester.
I am hearing the weather report for tomorrow. It's still cold.
Around the house there are just a few chores to be done.
One of my favorite things is an oatmeal cookie.
A few plans for the rest of the week include getting the rest of the Christmas things put away and a trip to Hopkins in Baltimore.

Here is picture thought I am sharing

I like ladybugs.

Now for that cookie. (Apologies to Mental P Mama for saying cookie about 16 times.)

Update: I began participating in The Simple Woman's Daybook a couple of weeks ago. If you'd like to participate, please visit the link above. I apologize for neglecting to put the link in to the site.

Until tomorrow, my friends . . .

  1. I think you deserve the oatmeal cookie! Besides - they're healthier thans lots of other types of cookies! Now I've got cookies on the brain....I've got a great recipe for chocolate chip oatmeal cookies. I'll have to post later this week! By the way - I need to get some sheep slippers to match my fleece sheep pajama bottoms. You obviously have good taste. :)
    Love the ladybug photo!

  3. Luckily I'm immune to cookies - but I'm not immune to non-dessert foods, so please don't mention that. ;P

You know, I rather miss your close-up guessing game. I am not suggesting you take it up again, but I thought I should let you know that it was fun. :)

I made chocolate chip cookies yesterday, my excuse was "I had leftover chips from Christmas, need to use them" HA

  13. Oatmeal cookies have all the four food groups in them don't they?? I think they are safe to consume.
And if you have them first thing in the morning you can call them breakfast!!

I answered your interview questions tonight so go and check them out!! I had to think about them for a day or so!
    I love your little ladybug!
