We’ve been having a quiet, relaxed time here in the South, along the coast, visiting with friends we’ve known since high school. They have a lovely home with a pool (swoon) and a view of the water.
Yesterday, we went golfing. Actually, the men went golfing. I only go for the fantastic lunch and to drive around in the golf cart taking pictures. It was a beautiful afternoon, although a little windy.
I just wanted to stop by and say hello.
The weather has been beautiful, including yesterday’s morning storm which we watched from the covered deck in the backyard. We’d spent the prior evening with drinks, staring up at the stars after a fantastic meal at the best sushi place around.
It was too bad my husband doesn’t like sushi. But he was outnumbered. And besides, the chef whipped up something special for him when our friend requested it.
I love our friends and we don’t get to see them nearly as much as we’d like since they moved down here years ago. W is an executive in the casino world, and although casino’s aren’t really my thing, it’s always fun when we visit.
George is loving it, too. There’s a couple of dogs at the house here and he has a huge crush on one named Bella. Unfortunately, the photos I took are rather risqué for a family blog.
* snort *
Until next time, my friends . . .
Glad to hear you are having a fun trip! Sure hope George is being chaperoned.;)

ReplyDeleteNaughty, naughty George. Glad you are having a good time.
ReplyDeleteI envy you Kate, relaxing with friends, it sounds wonderful! I don't like Sushi either.
ReplyDeleteI think I forgot everything after you said sushi, because I love it--and there's nowhere around where I live to get it. My son spoiled me getting me to try it, and now, I cannot find it anywhere--and my husband will not try it anyway. Wondering if I can somehow get someone to show me how to make it. (Ha! It was a joke, a joke!) I saw where Ree got a sushi chef out to the ranch to show a group how to make it--and it didn't look too simple.
ReplyDeleteBut, I am so glad youall got away--it's so good to be with old friends, isn't it! I like a road trip over once in a while, if it's not too long a ride. Going to Charleston with our son and his family in June, and I absolutely am so anxious to see what all the talk is about!
Well, George! Glad you're having fun on your vacation!
ReplyDeleteLove the shot with the magnolia. Enjoy the rest of your time.

Kate your having the time of your life. You sound like me in a Golf Cart. I almost put one in a big water hole or whatever they are called just because of my camera and yes it was a laugh.
