Mosaic Monday: Sunshine and birds

I haven’t played along with blogging friend, Mary at Little Red House, for well over a year on her Monday Mosaic theme. Come to think of it, it’s probably been more than a year since I’ve done this. I found that I didn’t have the time to visit all of the links, which is why I gave up Sky Watch and all the other weekly themes that are around the blogosphere.

Well, I think I’ll try it today and see where it takes me.

For the past couple of weeks, we’ve had nothing but dreary days full of either fog or rain or a mixture of both. The fog is often beautiful in and of itself, but it wasn’t until Saturday morning that I found myself smiling simply because – miracle of miracles – the sun was shining.

Today’s weather was even warmer than yesterday and I spent an hour or so this afternoon just sitting in the yard, snapping photos of the visitors to our feeders.

  5. When each and every day brings nothing but dark, grey, gloomy, wet, dready weather, it's amazing what one sunny day will do. The sun helped me immensely.

Sometimes it takes the bad, the awful, to help us appreciate, recognize, and remember the good--which is often just Regular Life.

    Regular Life is great.

  7. It has been a while since I've visited. I am not disappointed, your skills have not regressed like mine, but have soared like the winged birds you capture so well.

  12. so glad to hear you smile, just feels good to me.
As always I adore your birds. Out here little titmouse birds don't have that wonderful golden tan underneath their wings like yours do. Ours are all grey, which is fine, but not very colorful. and we don't have those blue jays. Ours here in New Mexico or either Stellar Jays which are the closest to eastern Blue Jays (grew up with these too). and Scrub Jays which are amazing silvery grey and brilliant blue and are calling for me to paint one. I painted so,e flowers today in my getting-well-muddle of a brain, but at least I got into it.
keep smiling dear Kate, it's good for the heart,
    peace n abundance,

  16. I so enjoyed popping by and getting to see such lovely little birds. Of course they are birds we don't see downunder, so it's a real treat looking at your mosaic today.

  17. Kate, I'm so glad that you joined us today! Your bird photos are always such a wonder to me. I love watching the birds, but I haven't the patience or the skill to capture them as you do! And I must agree -- the sunshine was a godsend! xoxo

  21. This past weekend's warmer temps were so welcome! Looks as if we are in for a serious cold spell, but I won't worry about that ... here in the warmth of the house. The sun is shining, I've been watching birds out the window, and my second cup of coffee is almost empty. It's time to start the day. Wishing you a pleasant week!
