Photography I love, from Pinterest

Sometimes I like to visit a little place called Pinterest, although to tell you the truth, I haven't been there for months. Pinterest is a place to share interesting things, and you can save your favorites to 'boards'. This evening, wanting a little eye candy, I went to a photography board I had pinned awhile ago.

Here are a few of favorites, but please note: When I chose the embedding option for my blog, no credit is being attached to the owner of the image. I don't know what's up with that, but in each case here, I went back to find a credit line. In most cases, I was successful. I'm kind of a stickler for this because credit always needs to be given and an apologizing, in advance, for re-posting what has no credit attached.

This is just so ethereal, and I love the colors. I want this on a big canvas.

What a wonderful perspective for this wedding portrait. Gorgeous and unique.

I love the moment captured here, although it seems a little staged to me. The umbrella adds a nice touch.

Doesn't this look like 'Starry Night'? It's magnificent and I wish I could see it some day in real life, don't you?!

This macro close-up of the edge of a wave on the sand left me wondering how the photographer did that.

I'm a total fan of Xaomena on Flickr. Her still life photography is so inspired. Love the soft colors in this one, and the handle on the knife gives a nice finishing touch. So unusual.

One of my favorite perspectives is a fence line. Love the depth of field in this, the old-time ornate tips on the wrought iron, and of course, one of my favorites - the fact that the snow has just begun to fall.

Hope you enjoyed ~

Wow, each picture is inspiring in its own special way. I love the wave, and I wonder if it wasn't a macro, but a long lens set with a low aperture? And someone please tell me how they make those still life shots look so darned cool?! I want to be able to do that one day! And I'm with you, let's go see that starry sky, gorgeous!

That still life is fantastic! When I have a bit more time, I intend to run over to Flickr and check out Xaomena to see what other wonderful things she has to show.

Love them all. And I love that you made every effort to credit the photographer. So many bloggers just take, and paste.

What a inspiring collection, think that I need to go and visit your boards on Pinterest.

The wedding photo just stole my heart. I wish I would have been danced around like that, but we eloped and had a cheapo photographer.. sigh...

Gee-they're all really special! I love the wedding photo, too--and I did think the scene with the umbrella in the snow was a bit staged..but lovely, still.
And OH! the beautiful starry night--thank you for reminded me of Vincent (and Theo!), and the beautiful sadness of a troubled man who sold only one painting during his lifetime! God bless him--he left so much beauty behind.
One of my favorites also--was the still life. Man--I'd love to paint that..well first, why don't I say, "I'd love to be able to paint!", first? :)
God bless you and Andrew, too--and George, of course!

Oh my, that starry sky is gorgeous! And I love Xaomena, too. I probably "favorite" 95% of her work on flickr. I have tried setting up some still lifes like hers. It is really hard to get a good comp that looks natural... :)

Mega inspiration on here Kate. I need to browse Pinterest for photography, I didn't realize what I was missing! The edge of that wave is incredible, well they all are in their own way. And oh the softness of that snow even has me anticipating everything about it. (Except yikes, it may even happen here tonight!) xoxo ~Lili

Pinterest and Flickr are both so time consuming and so inspiring at the same time....what a dilemma! I find I spend way too much time on them if I get started so most of the time I stay away...only so many hours in a day!

These photos you chose are amazing! That water on the edge of the sand looks unreal! and I just added Xaomena as a contact...love her compositions!!
