Look into my eyes

Yesterday, as I was sitting on the couch with the camera and my macro lens on, George came over and put his head on my lap. So I snapped his photo.

I'm so glad we got this dog. He's been such a pleasure to have around. And to think that I told my husband that we didn't need another dog in our lives!

What was I thinking?

He's been a great companion, not just to my husband, who's lost his job due to his health, but to me as well.

So here's to George. He's my buddy, my driving companion, the inspiration for posts like this, and one of my best friends.

I make no apologies for that link. I'd taken a pain pill and the words just spilled out.

Happy New Year, everyone!

Until tomorrow, my friends . . .

Sometimes I think that our sweet furry babies are the best. Just look into those eyes and see his love for you. Happy New Year to you and your husband.

I'm rolling around in a fit of giggles over the "you had me at hello" Amazing what pain pills can create!

Happy New Year!

That crazy dog! Cats are for eating, George, not befriending. Geez, we need to get George on the line. Bones would totally straighten him out.

Here's hoping hoping that this next year is good to you and your family. Hoping hoping.

Happy New Year! You too, George. (Eat 'em George!)

Holy crap, I just noticed, me and my Ringalos have time travelled into the future. It's only 10 pm and this post is marked 2009! Whoa. I need another drink of Coca Cola. (Oh ya, New Year's Eve is all wild over here!)

Count your blesings. I just lost my husband this evening after his battle with cancer. His little dog was with him at the time and is now grieving with me . We both lost our best friend. This dog ment so much to Buddy. He loved the dog as much as he did me. I wish you the best with your hubby. I am sitting here reading blogs and wondering what I am going to do now with the rest of my life without him. Give hubby and George a hug. Life is too short. Enjoy every moment. Love Doris

Dear Doris,
I just this moment got your e-mail. I'm sitting here too, reading blogs.
I am so sorry to hear your news. I'm not able to communicate with you any other way but this. I don't see an e-mail address for you.
All I can tell you is how sorry I am that this has happened. And yes, Doris, I count my blessings every day.
Please come and visit when you can. Blessings to you and your little dog. He needs you right now. Doris, I am just so sorry that Budddy is gone.

Don't tell George, but he could almost pass for a Holstein in this photo!

Dear Kate, this is ironic....I just posted about my sweet dog that we had to put down 5 years ago. I have yet to get another sweet pet. Please visit and see her! You must also visit because you have just been "tagged"! Read my post to find out more. Happy New Year!

The eyes say it all...in a really good painting or picture, in the people we know. The eyes might even tell us we don't want to know someone. George's eyes say he loves you!Your picture says you're a great photographer to capture that.

I am so sorry for Doris....I want to cry for her and with her! Doris, hug your dog and cry, and reach out! You're in my prayers.

Georgie has captivated my heart. A well-known proverb goes like this..."The eyes are the window to the soul". What would we do without our furry children? My three are cuddled around me as I write.

Blessings and prayers to Doris. I cannot imagine losing my dear husband. I can only hope he outlives me so I can avoid the pain of losing him. Doris, hold your pup, friends, and family close to you. They will help you through the pain. Were I able to give you a hug, I would be there to hold you as you grieve. Please know there are others, many of whom you never met, who care.

Oh George has beautiful eyes! I loved this post and could just imagine George having his head on your lap. My lab Ben did that too - and today (Jan 1st) would have been his birthday.
Wishing you and dear George a Very Happy New Year!!

Your post about George and the cat was one of the first posts I ever read on your blog. That post is the reason I've came back nearly every day since! Life is always better when there's a dog in it!
