Some things I love

I loved your comments from yesterday and was surprised at how many of you liked the old lobster buoys with which my husband has decorated the outside of the breakfast nook at the manor house.

It was beautiful today but I was stuck inside working through all of it and got home late but still in time to take my walk up and down the driveway. What a workout. It takes 45 minutes to go back and forth three times and on the last time coming up the hill, I was treated to a beautiful sunset. I didn’t have time to run inside to get the camera because it was dinnertime.

And someone has dinner on the table at exactly, precisely, perfunctorily 6 PM. Not that I’m complaining. I adore having dinner served to me. I think it’s the best thing ever and it’s one of the things that I love in this world.

Today I’d like to share a few other things that I love and I think I’ll begin with this stunning image by Lupen Grainne.

I am smitten with this fine art print that I found on etsy this week. It was featured in the same treasury as one of my prints, and I loved it so much that I bought it. Her work is amazing.

I was surprised to find out today that she had a blog full of loveliness.

I’m also in love with these camera bags, but I can’t afford them. So I signed on with Kelly Moore to be an affiliate. I want a camera bag that looks like a handbag and I don’t think it’s too much to ask.

And finally, my favorite skin care product, from DHC (the #1 direct mail skincare company in Japan).

Deep Cleansing Oil

For the past five years, I have used this product every night. Who would think that  a product made with olive oil would be good for your skin? But I tell you, I love this stuff. It removes makeup effortlessly and leaves my skin ready for the next step. I often use the DHC olive soap but it’s pretty expensive. And besides, a friend gave me a big bar of beauty soap for Christmas and I think I’ll be using that for the next five years (it’s huge).

Right now, the Deep Cleansing Oil is on sale at DHC.

I hope you all have a wonderful Friday and a great beginning to your weekend. Thanks so much for coming by today. I appreciate each and every one of your visits and comments. Cheers ~

Yay! I found a new photography blog to follow, Garden by the Sea. Some amazing photos on there. Thank you!

I swore 2 years ago when I purchased the Shootsac for way too much money that I would never do that again. Especially since I rarely use it...one of those impulse buys I'm known for. But when I clicked on the Kelly Moore link, I felt my resolve wavering. Yikes! Those bags are awesome. Maybe I can justify it for my birthday. :/

As you already know I got my cardinal prints today and LOVE them! Thank you, thank you!

I wonder if the olive oil cleanser is good for sensitive skin? Love the camera bag too!

I LOVE DHC! Can't afford a lot and am not one that's good about sticking to a skin care regimen, but LOVE.LOVE.LOVE the stuff I have and what it does for me when I remember to use it. Guess it's a good thing I don't get out much; only my son and my DH see my face much, and they're stuck with me. ;-)

Oh olive oil is amazing for the skin!

Love that print....I just posted a "motion" shot I was lucky enough to capture...

An affiliate? A Hotel chain just asked me to place a link on my blog. I'm told it's worth $150+ per year but am ambivalent.

Any advice, CG?

Holy cow - clicked on the link to the camera bag site. Love the bags but those prices...are rather steep.

Never tried DHC before, I'm more of an Oil of Olelady type, but I'll definitely check it out.

I just love your blog and the photos. The olive oil thing I think I'm off to check that out. I'm all about taking care of my face. Oh and the buoys a couple of posts ago I love and they would be awesome to set up as a still life to paint. Lots of patina!

Wow I love that photo! It perfectly captures the carefree joy and movement of carnival swings! I will stop by her blog and her Etsy store. I also love, love, love those camera bags! I got a big 'ole camera backpack for Christmas and I love it, but it is almost bigger than me...ok, not really but...

And oil would probably not work well on my skin. I don't have any issues with dryness, but I'm sometimes a little too oily. Still I want to read up on it to see if that's actually an issue!

Thanks for introducing us to some of the things you love!

I would love to have one of those Kelly Moore bags! Wow, they are gorgeous and I bet very functional. New item to add to the "wish list"!

That print you purchased is awesome! I know better than to crave an expensive camera bag/purse, in winter I'd just get a whole lot of salt all over it. I just can't seem to keep anything nice anymore! It sure it pretty though. xo ~Lili

I love almost anything with olive oil. My favorite brand that uses it a lot is Loc'citane. We have an outlet here.
I've bought so many camera bags and they are never right..
Love visiting you. Have a great weekend.

Love those bags!! Don't tell my husband I still covet one! ;) I got an expensive hand made one I love from Etsy in the fall but I ordered it too big, it is really awkward. I would love a purse one for when I go wtih friends to an event or something....mine is definitely a "bag"
