This evening

I sat out on the back porch this evening and watched the rain that had begun to fall. It was such a nice ending to a busy day.

The sun was slowly setting.

You can’t see the rain but it was falling at a good clip.

I got some mulching done this weekend.

And put together some planters.

I need to put down some grass seed in those bald spots.

There’s a lot to do yet.

Or I don’t have to do any of it.

We’ll see ~

Okay I am posting from the right account! Had to check :)
Your world is looking wonderfully saturated in emerald. It's so refreshing to see everything exploding into fresh green, and you capture it so beautifully!

We could hear thunder near us, but our storms went just to the north and then another just to the south that soaked Roanoke. Just a few sprinkles here and that was enough to make the garden and us happy.

I put a bit of color in my pots and yard. Could do a lot more. Could just fertilize and hope. I'll see ...

I know what you mean....I had good intentions yesterday, but......I let that book suck me right in instead.

I remember the days before technology when I would go to my mailbox at the end of my lane and discover an unexpected letter from a friend I hadn't heard from in a while. Such excitement...akin to what I feel when you write a new post. Thank you for your blog. Your comments and photos always make my day a little brighter friend.

It's so nice to see green, we are finally warming up here and I just can't get enough of it.

and this:
"There’s a lot to do yet.
Or I don’t have to do any of it."

I just love that. I'm going to keep repeating that to myself. :) xo

looks incredibly like summer. Last night we got 5-6inches of snow here in Taos, New Mexico. So this morning we are socked in and out poor hummingbirds look like drowned rats. We are keeping the little holes pokes through so they can get all the juice they need. Thanks for sharing your wonderful 'green' loveliness .

I love spring......but your trees are so far ahead leafing out. I hope summer doesn't come too soon.

I confess to being envious of your perfectly lined and mulched beds because...I just can't do everything here.

They're beautiful! (And I'm jealous.)

rain is a comfort to me, falling to quench a thirst.

nice work in the yard! It's soothing, isn't it? As is a soft rain....

spring is here and overnight everything has exploded. we need to mulch, too...but figure it's an expense we'll let the new homeowners endure when they move in…..xo

These are such glorious days to completely take in and enjoy rain or shine:) Your photos are stunning...I can feel the rain if not see it.

I need to get out in the yard and do a little work I think!

I'm inclined to go along with the "don't have to" part. ;)

Lovely photos. I just love sun showers.

I love opening the back door and listening to the rain. It's a calming affect. We desperately need some rain in Oklahoma. Enjoy your spring.
