To see the world,
things dangerous to come to,
to see behind walls,
to find each other,
and to feel.
That is the purpose of life.
To see the world, things dangerous to come to, to see behind walls, draw closer, to find each other, and to feel. That is the purpose of life.
I haven’t had a lot of words lately; don’t know why. School ended yesterday and, when summer hours begin, this will free up some of my time. Although I’ve been really busy, I haven’t stopped taking pictures, and I’ve had these images sitting in this draft for a couple of weeks. I added the words just now from a quote I found.
Here’s to summertime ~
Like all the photos ... but I really love the frog. Happy summer Kate!
Yay of for summer! And sometimes we don't need words at all...silence is more divine. xo
Happy Summer, Kate! These are beautiful birds and you've captured them just perfectly. I just hung a bird feeder neat my patio and I am enjoying the heck out of watching their antics! It's awe inspiring sometimes as well.

So pretty! I love that quote.
Your photos are beautiful even if you don't have words to share. They will come in good time. xo
Hey friend! Thanks for sharing, as always. Those words are very poignant somehow.... I will reflect on them as I drift off to sleep to see why they touched a place in my soul.
Here's to sunny days and cool breezes (although the latter is unlikely in my neck of the woods.)
I love that frog - I think he is Toad, of Toad Hall - so big and round and puffed up!!
This post is a delight to read - and to look at Kate. Here's to a really happy Summer - you both need and deserve it.
Marvelous images and the words fit perfectly!
...Have a lovely Sunday!
...Peace & blessings.
You may be at a loss for words, but your photos speaks beautiful volumes!
Love the bird photos. I put up a bird feeder in our back yard recently and love to watch the birds feed and flitter around.

lovely quotes and photos; I'm still enjoying spring on the farm although the temps are edging north. The farm is listed for sale and hoping and praying a buyer comes soon. it's been 2.5 years and I'm ready to move forward. hope you've been all right; you're thought of often.
I have that very same frog sitting on my front porch :-)
Your pictures are always beautiful.
Enjoy your time.
I'm often lost for words Kate! Beautiful pictures as ever. xx
deeply poetic, and wildly yourself!
ALOHA from Honolulu
Great photos Kate. Enjoy your time off, I am sure George will be a happy camper to have you home. :-)
I'm kind of at that place too, with the lack of words. After 8 years of blogging I'm afraid I've hit a wall and that does not make me happy.
I still love, love, LOVE your photos. Carla
Thank you for this poignant and beautiful affirmation today. Well-timed. Your photos are wonderful!
I wondered how you were doing. Being busy with life. Pet George and the cats from me. Remember to sit those chairs and take it all in.
Here's to summer rain and summer flowers! Have a great weekend!
Oh my, you illustrates that just perfectly!
And tree swallows! We used to have them nest here every year, until outdoor kitty came along... and I miss them, they are such funny, vivacious birds.
Thanks for a the glimpse of them.
