I'm proud to say that all of the pictures that you see in this post were taken by my husband. He took them all on Tuesday evening. And I think they're beautiful.
They are all SOOC shots (Straight Out Of Camera). He was standing in our backyard.
I'm not jealous. Really. I mean, even though I've always been the photographer in the family, I'm so glad that he's found something he enjoys.
Look at these colors. They're just exquisite! I just love the dark tree branches against the vibrant hues of the sky.
This is the only sunset photo I tweaked a tiny bit for him. I ran TRA's Slice Like a Ninja on it. It just gives a slight sharpen. (And I just think it's fun pushing a button that says Ninja). TRA is Totally Rad Actions. They work with Photoshop.
And when he was done with the photography session, he headed back to our house. I was in the pink countertop kitchen with my apron on, making dinner. I'm not kidding. I was!
And that's all I have to say about that.
Like Miz Booshay says, encourage each other!
Until tomorrow, my friends . . .

...Girl, I wish I had that house and you had a feather, then we'd both be tickled! lol... ;o)
...Beautiful photos Country Boy - Great job! :o)
...Blessings you two...
(and George too :o)
what a beauiful post...next time have him photograph you in that kitchen with pink counter tops and you in your apron...that would be the photograph...
I have always liked the way bare trees are silhouetted (pardon my spelling) against a colorful sunset. He did a good job getting those pictures. I can never get a forest of trees like that out here in Colorado because all we have are pine trees with a few aspens mixed in.
Wow. Red Sky at Night, Sailor's delight. Pink-countered kitchen, sounds bewitchin'.
Lord do I need a drink;)
Beautiful pictures. Whether he knows it or not, your husband has an eye for photography.
Poor MPM, she's really suffering!!!! And since the sky looks like zinfandel, she's in worse shape!!!
beautiful photos, love your home and so sweet thinking about you in the kitchen with your apron on.........Barb
Barb, is that you? My sister-in-law?
So what did you make us for dinner?
The pictures are fabulous- but it looks cold! Winter makes some great sun-ups and sun-downs.
Lovely photos.. amazing colours. You two live in a great spot.
Those photos were gorgeous! (Now I feel bad cuz hubby is always asking to use my camera and I protect it voraciously! Well he did break my last one...never mind...maybe I'll get him his own!) After all that rambling - is that your house in the last photo? I LOVE it!!
Wonderful sunset pics and gorgeous house!
Hey, thanks all. He said I could use the photos but is now upset that I mentioned they were his. He doesn't want to be involved in my blogging life. Sheeesh.
For dinner I made a corn & potato chowder. It was fairly decent. I had garlic bread with it. And brownies and ice cream for dessert. For him. Ok. I admit it. I had a brownie.

And yes, this is where we live. We are caretaking for now. After my husband lost his job due to his brain cancer, we were looking for a place to rent and this came along. It was a miracle.
I think maybe you are rubbing off on him... or maybe he just is learning at the foot of the master...
You better lock up your camera at night, your going to find it missing one of these days...I think the husband is really starting to enjoy thie photography stuff....Good for him. And the house is just beautiful...
What a sight. Just beautiful.
He's good! He might have to do his own Picture a Day blog! Bet he'd love that! (tee-hee)
Gorgeous sky...gorgeous photos
Wow, what a sky! He did great! So, so beautiful!
Wow! Those are beautiful pictures!
I keep trying to motivate myself to get out the camera - but it's just been way too cold out. (See my embarrassed face, lol)
Awesome pictures your husband took!
That is a great house, and the hubby takes good pictures! I was sorry to read about the brain cancer, I will keep him in my prayers.
wonderful beautiful photos there is nothing better than sharing things you enjoy with the ones you love!!!!!!! now we need george to pick up a camera too :) ok I jest about George but, keep up the wonderful work !!
what a glorious sky! Great job, Country Girl's Husband!
Beautiful photos!!!! I love the house too, but I think I might get scared in there! Its huge!
apron? I seem to only use an apron during holidays. I don't know why...
Ditto to all above (except, maybe the zinfandel :D)
Just gorgeous - glad you two are sharing an obsession!
Mmmm. Love that last shot. And I'm a huge fan of tree canopy photos and skeleton trees in winter at dusk. Beautiful.
Kate, is it time to go out a buy another camera? His shots are wonderful. Glad that both of you get to enjoy this.

Just an apron?
Lovely! I am seriously thinking of getting a camera. Any suggestions for a very very very novice beginner rudundant type?
He did such a great job on those photos. I am loving them. Oh and the image of you in your apron cooking dinner in a pink countered kitchen makes me smile.
Good luck at Hopkins to both of you. In my heart...
Oh yeah, nobody could disagree with it, the photos are amazing. He got a skill in photographer.
I wonder how he captured it perfectly. :)
The third photo reminds me of Tiffany glass. Your sweetie has done a great job!
That's great! It's wonderful of you to share the joy of photography. That's not an easy thing. I'm a little territorial with my camera and I hate to admit, I'm a little pleased when my husband's pictures aren't great. Oh crap, I think I missed the point of your post. Will reread!
Beautiful pictures!! My sunsets aren't as pretty because I have too many trees in my grove and they block the sun too much. But yours are so great. Congrats to the shy husband.
Love your blog!!!
