Outside my window the air is chill.
I am thinking that an oatmeal cookie would be good right about now. But then I say no. You don't need one.
I will probably end up saying yes, though.
I am thankful for my husband's doctors. They're really great.
From the kitchen, I can hear my husband washing the dinner dishes. It's the most wonderful sound.
I am wearing fleece pants, a long-sleeve tee in white and a big bulky sweater. In a carmelized butter color. With my sheep slippers.
I am creating a photo book on Shutterfly.
I am going to get that cookie, but am pretending not to hear its taunts coming from the kitchen.
I am reading Boy's Life by Robert R. McCammon. It's good so far.
I am hoping that my son does well in school this semester.
I am hearing the weather report for tomorrow. It's still cold.
Around the house there are just a few chores to be done.
One of my favorite things is an oatmeal cookie.
A few plans for the rest of the week include getting the rest of the Christmas things put away and a trip to Hopkins in Baltimore.
Here is picture thought I am sharing
I like ladybugs.
Now for that cookie. (Apologies to Mental P Mama for saying cookie about 16 times.)
Update: I began participating in The Simple Woman's Daybook a couple of weeks ago. If you'd like to participate, please visit the link above. I apologize for neglecting to put the link in to the site.
Until tomorrow, my friends . . .

I think you deserve the oatmeal cookie! Besides - they're healthier thans lots of other types of cookies! Now I've got cookies on the brain....I've got a great recipe for chocolate chip oatmeal cookies. I'll have to post later this week! By the way - I need to get some sheep slippers to match my fleece sheep pajama bottoms. You obviously have good taste. :)
Love the ladybug photo!
I have these slippers. And they're on sale.

Luckily I'm immune to cookies - but I'm not immune to non-dessert foods, so please don't mention that. ;P
You know, I rather miss your close-up guessing game. I am not suggesting you take it up again, but I thought I should let you know that it was fun. :)
Aw, go ahead and get the cookie! I ate 2 oatmeal cookies myself earlier today, and they were yummy. I'd love to share the calories with you ;-)
Beautiful picture!
I made chocolate chip cookies yesterday, my excuse was "I had leftover chips from Christmas, need to use them" HA
Forget the cookie...I'm going for the bowl of oatmeal with lots of butter and dark brown sugar...Oh, I think that sounds really good right now...
Just think of the fiber in that oatmeal cookie. You NEED that cookie for your health!
Love the ladybug. :)
xoxo,
Mary
Go enjoy that oatmeal cookie or two cookies...=)
Great post...love the ladybug photo. I too adore ladybugs.
It's okay. I've come to expect this sort of thing from you. But your world sounds so peaceful tonight. Good luck at Hopkins;) Thinking of you both.
Oh hell...now I want a cookie!
Love the Ladybug photo. The oatmeal cookies sound good. I like them warm with a glass of cold milk.
You and your husband will be in my thoughts and prayers.
I just wandered over from Weaver! I am excited to come back for another look!
I am resisting cookies and putting the rest of my Christmas decorations away, too, this week.
Oatmeal cookies have all the four food groups in them don't they?? I think they are safe to consume.
And if you have them first thing in the morning you can call them breakfast!!
I answered your interview questions tonight so go and check them out!! I had to think about them for a day or so!
I love your little ladybug!
Oatmeal cookies, breakfast food ! Great with coffee too.
Sounds like the kind of day to always remember. Isn't it just really the simple things that do give the most pleasure ?
Country girl - that was a lovely read. That oatmeal cookie really sang out didn't it? I could picture you in your home and know from that writing that you have your priorities in the right order! Here's wishing your husband good health as the year progresses. Best wishes.

I think you NEED that cookie. (And I regularly NEED a bowl of ice cream.) I love that you have started doing these. You are really good at finishing the sentences in an interesting way.

I take it you like cookies! Me too! preferably of the chocolate variety.
CJ xx
Good luck with the weather and your trip to Hopkins, God speed.
Oh my, my, my, I love the ladybug. It just reminds me spring is around the corner and I can't wait.
Eat the damn cookie .. does it have raisins?

Hope your trip to Baltimore oes well. I will keep you both in my prayers! Wave when you drive by! I will be waving back :)
Cookies, cookies, cookies. Now I gotta have me a cookie. I just might participate in this. I am liking it....not the cookie (though I do) but the simple woman's daybook.
I am so never going to lose those last five (Ok now ten) pounds. Where are those cookies, anyhow?
(mindful of your appreciation of your husband doing those dishes.)
