Have you had enough of George?

Quite often, when I open up the camera disk, I find photos that my husband has taken. And today, I found a plethora of George shots which I’m posting  because I can never get too many George photos.

Mind you, I can get too much George.

Sometimes he doesn’t stop. He keeps bringing toys. And sitting and waiting. Waiting and watching and giving me that eye that border collies do because they want you to throw something for them. He stares me down, he does, until I throw that toy.

And when I finally do throw it, he’s off ~ like a rocket. And then it all begins again. Sometimes I get tired from throwing the toy all the time. And thankfully, George eventually gets tired. So, you see, I can get a little too much of George sometimes.

However, he does enjoy posing for the camera.

Or gazing thoughtfully, and looking serene.

I can really get going here, can’t I?

I want to thank you for your thoughtful and heartfelt comments that sometimes just surprise me. It’s wonderful to know that this place is a daily spot for some, and gives a feeling of peace for so many.

I’m glad that you visit.

I’m also glad that Lost is on tonight. And it’s the season finale, at that.

Until tomorrow, my friends . . .

Love your photos of George. If I didn't already have two big dogs, I'd run out and get one just like him.

There will never be enough George pictures for me! He is so handsome, he could probably talk me into throwing a toy for hours, if my arm would hold up!

I won't be watching Lost tonight for two reasons... My son's play opens tonight and I'm one episode behind. I'll have to watch online. It's supposed to be a good one. This whole season has been amazing.

I'm wondering how many photos of George reside on your computer? How many folders or just one big one entitled, George?

There are some real George lovers out here. He is a beautiful boy. I can identify with the bringing a toy and staring you down until you throw it... my younger fur baby is like that.

Enjoy your Lost program. I'm blog checking because I never got started with Lost. But there are others that I watch faithfully.

Thanks for sharing George with us.

George is a fine, fine fellow. I love that you share his photos with us. Is that a chickadee in the last photo today?

I am very happy to hear that your finger is mending.

Hi babe,
nah. You can never have too many pictures of your pets.

If the aliens from the mother ship ever check my phone camera - which right now has, NO LIE, 1500 photos on it because I don't know how to download them - almost ALL OF WHICH are of Amelia Buttercup, they will say to themselves,

"Ah."
"She exists to serve the little cat."

Now, because I have been negligent, here is this:

When I was young, I could live a whole day without worry. That's the definition of freedom.

In 1996 - pretty sure that was The Year - I was standing in the winter rain begging a former skanky business partner not to sue us, because it would have been the last straw to push us into bankruptcy and we would have lost our house, everything.

The good news is, he didn't and we paid him every penny (which he didn't deserve!) and we dug ourselves out of the hole over time.

I can ___________________ in two minutes flat.

Well, I can't tell you that one. But I can say that I can change from spitting-furious angry to perfect calm control in two minutes flat. One, if I'm in a hurry.

Amelia Buttercup makes me smile every time. Every...single...time (See above.)

hug,
Kt

George makes me smile. Makes me think of my late collie. On a visit to the vet once , she knelt down and holding my sweet Sarge's face in her hands said, "He has such a kind expression, you know." The same could be said for your George. No, you can't have too much George.

Keep 'em comin' -- I love George photos! Did your husband take the one of George jumping for the frisbee? That is fantastic! :)

Hello there...I found your blog through Firelight's site.

Awwwww, George is awfully cute. Great photos you have of him here...and a lovely site as well.

I love photos of George almost as much as photos of Riley! We had a terrier/lab cross that was obsessive about tennis balls. She would drop one next to you no matter where you were and sit there, looking constantly between you and the ball until you threw it. A bit disconcerting for guests actually, to have an insanely intent 60 lb dog staring at them. When you throw something for Riley, he kind of lopes after it, and you have about a 50/50 chance that he will remember what it is when he gets to it. [he looks a lot smarter on my blog than in real life] :)

Love the pic of the little chickadee too!

Oh yeah - Lost was really something wasn't it? And all the Survivors end in the next week too don't they? This is the time of year when we start having Cocktail Hour II [The After Dinner Edition] every day.

As for LOST, I was wowed! Truly. Now we all have to wait until January of 2010. I bet they all land in LA!

Too much George? Surely, you jest!

Keep'em coming.

Oh I need a dog bad. After spending an afternoon with three dogs in the country, I can't wait to go back and play with them again. They're just such concentrated happiness.

I always love looking at pictures of that smiling George. :-)
