Welcome to my first submission for a new photo theme day hosted by my blogging friend, Mary. Her blogs are beautiful and if you haven’t visited her Little Red House or In a Soft Light, you’re missing something very good. I don’t know on which site she’s going to hold the theme, but my guess is her decorating blog, Little Red House.
It was raining yesterday morning, so I amused myself by taking macro photos of things that caught my eye. From left to right are: detail from a lamp; lace curtains in the dining room; a cut-glass votive that I love; and a lace leaf I have in a frame.
You can join the fun by making your own mosaics. I did this one on the Mosaic Maker at Big Huge Labs. It’s easier to do if you have a Flickr account. And they’re fun.
Until tomorrow, my friends . . . and have fun storming the castle!

Don't go look at mine :-) All I can say is that you have the eye for beauty. Great job, and you have certainly inspired me.
Love it! They all four compliment each other very nicely. Great macros.

Hi Kate,
I love the Mosaic Monday theme!
I especially enjoy examining the detail of the lamp and appreciate the harmony of the four photos brought together.
I am thoroughly enjoying your blog entries!
Also, so glad you stopped by my place. I've lightened the text color, so its now readable. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
Happy Monday to you!
Wonderful choices...just lovely!
I actually clicked on the picture and I think it came up on Flickr (I have an account). It's gorgeous, I absolutely love lace, it always reminds me the Victorian era.

Lovely macros, Kate.
There's something amazing about mosaics. I love how you selected the same tones to blend so beautifully.
Fun ..
www.picnik.com had a ton of collage 'templates' and you dont need any web-based photo acct BUT if you do, it connects to most of them...
gorgeous combinations of tones and textures - love it
Loving this!

Gorgeous!.....your photo "mosaic" and your post's title. Sounds like a lovely theme meme.
How do you get your photos to post in such a large size on your blog? They always look so wonderful.
Just left you an award on our blog! Congrats!
What everybody else said: Dittio as for The Castle (It will take a miracle!)
