Giveaway! All weekend!

Just over a year after I began this blog, I noticed that you could put a “google follower” on your blog sidebar. So I did. I had a counter (which I rarely check), but I added a follower icon because everyone else had one.

I can hear my mother now, asking me, “well, if everyone else was jumping off the cliff, would you jump off the cliff too?”

I used to tell her, “Yes, of course I would. It would be a thrill.” Not really. Actually, I would hang my head in shame and tell her that I would never jump off a cliff if everyone was doing it. What I really meant was ‘yes, of course I would!’

On Thursday (or that’s when I noticed it), my google follower list hit the 300 mark, thanks to Raph [link] who has an absolutely charming blog. So to honor Raph, my 300th follower, I am hosting a weekend-long giveaway to celebrate! Here’s how to play along:

Leave a comment telling me which photo you would like to own.

Choose from the following, leaving your choice by clicking on the comment button at the bottom of this blog and following the directions. I will draw the winner at 6 PM on Sunday. Here’s what your choices are:

DSC_0862 copy 2

YELLOW BOAT (12 X 8 print)

DSC_0040 copy 2

SEASHELL (10 X 10 print)

DSC_0864 copy 2

DSC_0119 copy 2

DSC_0025 copy 2

PINK BEGONIA (8 x 10 print)

DSC_0128 copy 1

Rules: Make one choice. Leave a comment with your choice. Blog about the contest and get another chance. To get this chance, return to this post and leave the link to your post. (You must follow these directions to get the second chance).

That’s it! I will announce the winner around 9 pm on Sunday night.

Until later, my friends . . .

They are all so beautiful, it's hard to pick. The Deer Isle Shoreline tugs at the heartstrings. Dad used to take me fishing with him as a small girl...great memories.

Since there is no George with wind ruffled hair I'd have to say the Yellow Boat.

But it was a hard choice. Thanks for the give-away.

Raph, and I was right next to Raph so does that give me an extra entry???

It is so hard to choose, all your photos are amazing.

It is a tie for me...Yellow Boat because of the serenity and Daisy Still Life for the serenity and the simplicity.

Even if I do not get one to hang on my wall, I shall always visit here to enjoy your art!

Hello, my name is Bunny and I'm not trying to win your photos nor do I have a blog, but I did want to tell you that I do a appreciate great photography such as yours. The photo that is my favorite is the seashell one, It reminds me of my mother-law and my seven year old son. My mother-in-law loves the beach and my son has inherited that same love and seeing your photo of the seashell reminds me of them walking on the beach and looking for shells and being as happy with each other as they can be. Love your photos.

I am very honoured, Country Girl! Thank you so much.

All the photos are so lovely that this is a hard decision ... I think I'll go for SEASHELL please. It is so peaceful and I love spiral shapes. Also there are faint hints of giraffe-markings on the shell! It would look fantastic hanging in Necky Knoll House!

What a fabulous giveaway! I knew instantly which photo I would like to own... the yellow boat! It is so colorful and serene and... it reminds me of the William Carlos Williams poem about the red wheelbarrow in the rain beside the white chickens. I love that poem! Even though the picture is none of those things, it still makes me think of it. That poem is kind of a "shared secret" between hubby and me. The story is boring.. suffice it to say, the poem makes us look at each other and smile. Your photo does (will, in our house) too.

You are so incredibly talented! I absolutely love your photographs....it is hard to pick just one because they're all lovely. I certainly can see why you have 300 Google followers...soon you will have 3,000! I sometimes feel that you and I are kindred spirits when I read your posts and see your photos. I too, love flowers, animals, and the outdoors. But, if I have to choose just one, I will pick "HAND-COLORED FLOWERS", as it seems that it is being "left out" after reading others' comments.

By the way... is the "PINK BEGONIA" really an 8 x 101 print? Or just a typo? LOL!

Thank you for sharing with all of us!

Sorry I haven't been around much lately, but you know what happens when you're newly in love! lol

I absolutely LOVE those two photos of the yellow boat! We are decorating our place in a sort of water theme with a huge b&w of a sailboat, a lighthouse in a stormy sea, a smaller sailboat picture, etc. AND Lorne used to own a yellow sailboat, so we'd love to get another one.

Hope you guys are doing well - I must scroll back and catch up. Hugs to you both.

Oh this is too hard to decide! I guess I will pick the Hand-Colored Still Life- the last one, beautiful! Thank you so much for hosting this. Hopefully I get picked.

The beauty of the pink Begonia is like that of a newborn.....fresh and new.....and pink. It makes me think of my Mom....she loved to pick the first Spring mayflowers and they were a shade of blush...not really pink, but for some reason, this picture hit home. I still miss her.
