I’ve mentioned before that I love reading your answers to the questions I pose on this blog every week or so. It’s a great way for me (and all of us) to get to know you better. And I do respond to everyone who participates.
If I haven’t written you yet, it’s because your e-mail isn’t enabled. I can tell because I get this message: Noreply-Comment@Blogger.com. I just wanted you to know that I tried, ok?
Some of the answers to the questions this week really surprised me. Some made me laugh, made me think a little, but mostly they helped me get to know you all a little more which is always fun.
Tonight, rather than blogging, I’m taking a little night off and I’m reading a book. I miss reading and am trying to make time for myself to do it more often. Plus I’m getting to some good parts in my current read: The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson.
And I just bought this CD. It’s Ray LaMontagne’s Gossip in the Grain. I leave you tonight with him singing Let It Be Me.
And I’ll see you tomorrow, my friends.
PS ~ I took the photo of the azaleas today. Hope you like. I used my Nikon D80 and my Nikkor AF Micro 60 mm Macro lens.
Thanks so all for the well wishes for my brother, Steve. Means a lot to me.UPDATE: For an excellent review of the book I'm reading, please visit Lara's Reading Room.

enjoy your book and music..
Enjoy your book. I love the picture - very ethereal and beautiful.
Love the action you applied to your picture! I just installed PS Elements 8 and am hoping to learn how to use it soon as I learn how to use all the fancy schmancy settings on my new camera. :) Your pictures inspire me to want to take even better photos myself. :)
I tried to get into the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo I just couldn't get into it. I am currently working on The Help, that I am enjoying. Hope you enjoyed your night off.
I have "Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" sitting on my table. My daughter writes an online book review column for an Internet entertainment blog. She has a short five-star review of this book at http://larasreadingroom.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html if you have a chance to look at it. It was good enough to convince me to read it!
i love ray and "let it be me"....can you believe it was my 22 year old that got me hooked on him....she makes me so proud !
Relax and enjoy the book, Kate. Hope Steve continues to improve! xoxo Donna
Love the music. Let us know if the book is a good read.
Hope you have your feet up and are enjoying that book. The music is very mellow.

Sometimes things show up at the right moment. I lost my companion to heart disease yesterday. This beautiful song says so much to me right now. Thank you.
Let it be me was the "last dance song" at mine and my husband's vow renewal ceremony in February. I love Ray! Hope you enjoyed a relaxing night!
Love Ray! have that on my iTunes!
I love your picture of the pink azaleas!
Hardly any azaleas here, while DC was full of azalea bushes blooming this time of the year. I miss them!
I hope you had a wonderful night in, with the book and music.
So glad that you took time for yourself! smiles.
Nice ... the effect you used reminds me of sponging .. actually that may be a made up term .. its when you paint one color let it dry almost completely then you dip a sponge in another color and sort of dab it on so you get an impression and another color ...
Every time I see your macro shots I contemplate the lens all over again. One of these days!
Enjoy your night off!
The azaleas are really showing out in my yard. They got a taste of rain this morning and I'm sure it made the ones on my sandy hill very happy.
beautiful dreamy shot - enjoy your book and your time.

Sorry I haven't been by to comment but I have been reading your posts, I always love my visits here...come say hi :D
Is it really only twenty til nine in the morning in Maryland? I was looking at your clock on your webpage...and here it is 8:40PM...thought the east coast was only 6 hours behind us?? Hmmm...I'm confused...
Well, enjoy your evening off! I wish I had the patience to sit down with a book, have a bunch of books I bought in the states but haven't read one of them yet...no time..ugh..someday...
Sounds like a fabulous night!
(As to the email issue - I don't know what people with self-hosted blogs are suppose to do. I always wonder when posting on Blogger blogs, b/c I click the Name/URL option and enter my info, but unlike other platforms there's no place to enter email, just my name and site address. I'm not blaming you, I don't think Blogger has more options, I'm just saying I don't know if there's a secret way for people to give you their email.)
I hope you have a great night! I love the pic!

Enjoy your book! And I am amazed that your reply to EVERY comment :)
I'm playing a little catch up Kate. The pic is lovely ~ and Ray is one of my FAVES! I LOVE that song!!
Hmmm. You have responded to me before. I haven't changed anything?? Sometimes I just don't know what is going on in the computer world....lol. Checked all my folders. Oh well, darn it.
Thanks for the shout out on the book review! Also, glad you are at the point that you can't put it down. It will go crazy fast for you at this point. :)
I love that song...he has such talent. And funny, I have that book on my nightstand right now, I haven't started it yet but it is next in line!
Oooo, your azaleas are beautiful! Love the processing -- so soft and lovely! Hope you enjoyed your night off. :)
