Comfort

No photos of my trip to the Gulf Coast today, but I’ll have a few up later this week. After being off for Spring Break all last week, getting back into the swing of work was somewhat overwhelming today.

I took a nice long walk around the property afterward, though and snapped a couple of photos that I’m sharing here. Nothing much, just a beautiful spring day here in Maryland.




There’s so much going on in this world right now. It feels good to have somewhere safe to enjoy the afternoon.

We are blessed to be here.

Look at us, said the violets blooming at her feet, all last winter we slept in the seeming death but at the right time God awakened us, and here we are to comfort you.

My husband has worn two paths around the property. One, he calls the ‘outer loop’. This is the one that circles the entire perimeter. The other, he calls the ‘inner loop’. This is the path that cuts across the property in a loop and which takes you through this field full of buttercups.

My husband and I are sitting in the living room watching 'The Best of Laugh In’ and were surprised to find ourselves enjoying it so much. I'm loving seeing all the guests on the show and how young everyone looks.

I remember being in about 6th grade when that show came out and my parents getting such a kick out of it.

I’m trying to catch up on reading my favorite blogs and hope to be in your neck of the blogging world soon.
