My weekend

My weekend consisted of many things, most of them small things. I woke early on Saturday and had the house cleaned (the downstairs) and was showered by 11 am. It felt very good to have a clean home, especially since company was coming.

Here’s what else I did ~

Listened to the birds.

Took pictures of puffy clouds.

Saw a red-tailed hawk.

At least, I think it’s a red-tail. It never got close enough to identify properly.

Sat among the Johnny jump ups that are blooming.

And felt the warmth of the sun on my skin.

Took a few macro shots.

Watched {this} on Saturday night.

I love the classics.

And this.

I couldn’t stop laughing.

I love to laugh.

Sat outside on the patio with company on Saturday.

And him on Sunday.

And him, as well.

And felt grateful for all the little things in life.

So, tell me. How was your weekend?

Looks lovely. I did the fun little things all weekend and now it's Sunday afternoon and my house is still a mess so I'm scrambling (in between internet breaks) so I can have a slight feeling of accomplishment before I head back to work tomorrow. Of course, Mad Men tonight after dinner out so still a few fun things left...

Kate, I love your beautiful blog. You are so talented. And George is my man!! I wanted to see if you had seen the blog Ozark Grace?. Her bird photos and yours are so similar. She's in my part of the world...those flyover states;). You might take a peek. Thank you for your gift of an eye for beauty, no matter what the subject matter. It's a bright spot in my day.
I wish you, your husband and George all the best. It is the little things in life:-)

You have had a productive week-end, Kate. I really agree with the "little things" saying in the final picture.

My week-end was great fun with a gathering of area alumni from my college to tour a museum in town. Today we attended the 50th wedding anniversary reception of friends. We also enjoyed fellowship with friends at Sunday School and worship this morning. Really a pleasant week-end.

I send good wishes to you for the work week ahead.

Our week-end was trips into town for groceries and a new chainsaw and then yard work, made a crock pot of red sauce. It was a pretty week-end!

Sounds like a lovely weekend. We mulched, weeded, mowed, and finally installed window boxes which I have wanted since we moved in...so it was a good one here too.

I hope your week is equally as wonderful!

I cleaned house today, went fishing yesterday and didn't take a single picture.

Sounds like a lovely weekend. I love the mockingbird. :)

Mine was hectic.. painting and living amid things pushed to the center of the rooms. But it's beginning to look better in here.

I loved the video...did you know that you and Di both blogged it at the same time? Love that dog.
Not as much as Roy though.

Looks like you had a lovely weekend.

That video was just way too cute! I laughed until I cried!

I spent the weekend cleaning and catching up on much needed "to do" things. Planned to work outside, but the wind changed those plans!

Have a wonderful week!

Hi Kate
I'll do a comment today seeing that you only posted 6 hours ago. Best pic - the Johnny Jump Ups - now that's trodden on a few toes, doggy and otherwise....
Did I just have a weekend??? Oh I did - and the best thing was getting a helping hand to move a TV from one storage cupboard to another prior to it going to The Great TV Hereafter. Otherwise mostly making and unmaking plans amd then making them again for a couple of days away next week.

Best Wishes
Ms Soup

It was a nice weekend full of nothing very exciting and that's perfectly OK. Now I'm off to the eye doctor because I've got hives on my eyeballs from allergies. Yes, there is such a thing, and it really really hurts...lol..

Have a good day, Kate -

I think it's the simple days that we remember most. Sounds like you had one of those.

Love the video.

I cleaned up a few of my barrels that line the driveway. Went to Costco and bought a few plants for them only we had a lot of hail storms so I have them in the garage til it gets a bit warmer.

Spring has arrived sort of.

Love everything here but completely adore that dog video. I have watched the other one many many times and still laugh as he talks about the cheese and the fridge. This one is even better as he gets the kitten at the end! Wonderful - what a talent.

And you too are very wonderful and you give such pleasure with your words and photos. Take care and have a good week.

Me? I went to my favourite place Sant Nicolau and wished I could photo birds, played with Bonnie, meditated by Blue's grave and enjoyed waking up in the morning to birdsong instead of traffic.

love Kate x

Wait 'til my husband sees that video. He's loves those amazing talking dogs. *grin*

My weekend: painting walls, shovelling snow, painting walls, guests for dinner, shovelling snow, painting walls. *sigh*
