Hello out there

DSC_7747 copy 2

I am feeling much better, thank you. I caught a cold that seemed to suck the life out of me and got nothing done this weekend other than picking up cold medicine at the pharmacy.

The state of my home can attest to that. I foresee much housekeeping in the coming weekend.

The weather was lovely on Monday and Tuesday but I could barely summon up the energy to do anything with George. After work on Monday afternoon, I tried to take him for a walk and ended up having a lie down on the grass and nearly falling sound asleep.

Yesterday wasn’t much better. I’m almost embarrassed to admit that I sat in a camp chair on the lawn and tossed a frisbee from my seat.

Today I actually went for a walk and then came back inside to get my camera after seeing buds on the pussy willow bush.

I’m embracing the blur here.

But this is a little too much. Ha.

I mentioned in the last post that I watched Blue Jasmine. It was worth seeing just to watch Cate Blanchett who I think is a wonderful actor. But the story did nothing for me. I got the Streetcar Named Desire parallel and the movie was generally a real downer. So that’s my two sense.

I’m currently binge-watching Mad Men on Netflix. I cannot believe I never got into this show when it first came out several years ago. Season 7 begins April 13 and I am currently at the finale of Season 2 which I’m having for dessert tonight. I gave up sugar 7 weeks ago and haven’t had a real dessert since so this has been a good alternative.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Hope all is well in your part of the world ~

Glad you are feeling better. We are dealing with snow again, ugh!!! More snow on top of lots of old snow. No buds on the trees here, but as soon as I see some I am going to hug that tree!!!

Ugh. I am sorry you've been sick. I've been sick all week and can empathize. No energy, all zapped.

Love to see the buds on the trees and bushes. The light at the end of a very long tunnel.

Glad to hear you're on the mend.

Insane here (weather, lol) 45 degrees and sunny yesterday, today 15 inches of snow (and still coming) amid single number temps tonite. Insane indeed (me, awaiting spring)

Thanks for the great images to enjoy on this snowy nite....

Oh my, we may have had the same cold - I've never experienced such fatigue! Glad to hear you are feeling better and had the energy to take such lovely photos to share. Continue to rest up!

Children seem to bounce back so quickly, not us. You still make the effort as opposed to huddling down in bed as I do!

I never catch shows when they start and you never really find out if they will be picked up/well liked until Season 2. But I have thought about Mad Men as something I could sit and watch from Season 1 on and just love it. I love that era. Can I possibly go into seclusion for several weeks?!

Gave up sugar 8 weeks ago Friday at 6:07 a.m. I just can't break the painful chain, there would be no looking back and too much guilt. Someday...

Get better!!

XO,
Jane

I'm so out of touch, I haven't heard of the movie or that series.

I could not keep my eyes open yesterday.

Some days we just gotta take it easy.

Take care,
Ramona

Hi George. Kate, I hope you are back to good health soon. Colds can be so draining.

I never got into Mad Men. Maybe I will give it a try.

Glad you are feeling better. We had the cold/flu, whatever, this month too. Yes, it has lasted almost a month and we are still coughing. Worst spell of this kind in years.Hungry for sunny days.

Colds suck and I am glad that you are beating it! Between the flu, colds, and the crud, many have been sick...it has been a rough season! Congrats on giving up sugar...it's hard to get passed the withdrawal stage and so glad that you did! The Bradford pear trees have bloomed down here as well as the redbuds and some mystery trees in the wooden areas...spring is coming...in fact the first day of spring is next week. Happy Spring!!!

Glad you're better. I've been binge watching Breaking Bad and I hate that I am nearing the final season. Better Call Saul better hurry. I am so hooked.

Kate, good to hear you are feeling better, I'm thinking if this winter EVER leaves I will feel well. I can understand the need to rest upon the grass, I walk our Hank to the mailbox and feel as if I've run a mile. My spirits are as heavy as the gray skies. I have decided that I will finish the quilt for my niece today, after letting it hang around all winter. It's bold bright colors seem to mock my sadness, but today I will wallow in them! The sun may actually shine even if it is only 27 degrees outside.
Hope your energy returns soon. Hedy

Don't feel bad about playing catch from the camp chair. I have fallen asleep on the floor when I wasn't feeling good only to wake surrounded by dog toys! Dogs take hints as well as kids! Feel better soon!

we just watched silver linings playbook for the 2nd time and i just love that movie.

did you ever see the way way back? that's next on my "let's watch it again" line up.

Okay season 3 drags a little bit (or maybe it's 4?) but I swear it really picks right back up. Glad you're feeling better! And don't feel bad about perching in the chair and playing with George. At least with Barbie, she never wants to walk when she could run instead!

Ugh, glad you are feeling better. I pretty much felt the same way about Blue Jasmine...

And yes, Mad Men, I binge-watched it late last year, and still have to catch up with season six. it's so good!
