I know, tie me up and call me raunchy. But I LOVE this show.
Rescue Me centers on the inner workings of Engine 62, a New York City firehouse, and the personal and emotional battles of its members in a post 9-11 world. The show's main character is Tommy Gavin, played by Denis Leary. He's a mess, but he's the best fireman going. I love the grittiness of this show and find it fascinating to watch because it's like no life I've ever known. And I especially like that I'm constantly reminded of the firefighters who gave their lives during one of our country's most horrible tragedies. I haven't seen a new episode for about a year, and Season 5 isn't scheduled to air until March of 2009! But until then, they're apparently taping 'minisodes' that I came across on YouTube this weekend. This is the first time I've ever done this on my blog, but it's my blog so I can do what I want. I will warn you, however, that there is cursing in this one. And I've found the least raunchy one to show you. In fact, this mini-clip is almost 'cute'. Now you know my dark secret. Please, don't judge me.
And you thought this was going to be a sweet Country Girl post. Until tomorrow, my friends. Or until the ice cream man comes again.

I just got a new TV and internet provider and have so many channels to watch I can't keep up. But I'll take a look and see if the show is on any of the channels I get. Thx for the suggestion.

I love Denis Leary! The accent and the working class Irish attitude is pitch perfect! (Probably because it is his real background). Loved this clip!

I really enjoy this show too. I also like House. He cracks me up.
I love how they really have captured how a fire dept. really works. My brother is a fireman, and my hubby used to be (when he was in the military) and that stuff totally happens all the time. Especially the language, those naughty boys.
There have been times in my life when the ice cream man was my hero.

Love that show..if you like Denis Leary you should watch the movie The Ref...lots of bad language but one of the funniest movies ever.

Yes, Suzieq, I've seen the ref. It's a good one! Denis Leary also plays a good role as a cop in one of my favorite movies, The Thomas Crown Affair.
