I've been working my fingers to the bone and if you click on the widget to the right, you'll get an idea of what I'm offering for sale in my new shop.
The framed prints are a little pricey, but they're an excellent quality and they're big. So far, I've only got 8x12 prints offered in frames, but I'm going to be selling smaller ones as well.
My 8x12 archival quality prints are $20 with a small shipping charge. I don't even know if it works to click on and purchase something and I'm still working out the little glitches. But it's fun!
I've been giving away my photographs because well, I like to give things away. But I also think that maybe now is the time to begin to realize my dream of one day selling my work.
Today my co-worker, Rich, told me that it just wasn't right not posting until Wednesday night, JUST because I'm having a contest. He said he needs his morning fix of my Chronicles and it's just not the same going to the Picture A Day site. There aren't any stories there, he stated.
Well, we can't let Rich down now, can we? Besides, he's gleaning all this information from the little vocabulary links I put in my posts. And Rich, I'm not linking gleaning. You should already know what that one means.
The contest is still on (see post below) and the framed print is in my shopping cart just waiting to be won. I am enjoying reading all your answers to the question "What makes you truly happy?" I'm finding that simple pleasures, the love of your family, favorite hobbies, and so many other pasttimes are shared by so many of you.
Well, it's bedtime and I'm tired. And so I'll say:
Until tomorrow, my friends . . .

Hearty congratulations on your new endeavor! Edward and I wish you great success!
And I'm sure you can guess what makes me happy....Edward himself!
Wonderful! I still love the photo of the silhouette tree that I got from you in March. Beeyoootiful beyond words and it hangs framed in my foyer. I'm not huge on flower prints (they're pretty, but not my style)... but I love landscapes and trees. I will definitely be shopping here and can't wait for you to continue to add more shots.
You truly have a gift for photography!
We all need a store banner to put in our sidebars!
Oh, my gosh! I sold a framed print from my site. I can't believe it. It just went up last night at 10 pm!!
Thanks, all, for the good luck wishes. I can't wait to get to work on it when I get home. From work. Ha!
Congratulations on your shoppe! I wish you bunches of success.
It is wonderful Kate - congratulations!
Beutiful! I will come with Annie to have mine signed in person, too;)
What a wonderful opportunity for you to fulfill a dream! I am so happy for you, truely...my wish for you is that you exceed your wildest expectations by miles and miles.

I think it is wonderful that you are starting to sell your work! My hubby isn't happy about it, he's scared. I love your photographs.
*hugs*
Ya know, if you had a print of George and his black and white kitten friend, the one that is on your side bar?...I'd snatch that up in a N.Y. second! *hint-hint* ;-)

I took your advise about just close yor eyes and pray. I ask for the spinal tap to come back clear of cancer cells. We knew if it showed up there that was the end of the road. I talked to his Dr this morning and the test came back clear!!!!!See, God did hear me and he answered. They still cant figure out what is causing his headaches and confusion, but it isn't the cancer. He is still in hospital and they are still working on him. I miss him so bad, and his little dog is so sad it is unreal.Pray they find his problem and can fix it . Thank you so much for your concern . Doris
Doris, I don't know how else to communicate with you because I don't have your e-mail address. I'm so glad the spinal tap is clear of cancer cells. I guess the doctors have considered whether or not it's the medication that's confusing him. Could he have had a small stroke? I don't know. So many things. Hang in there, girl.
Thanks for all the good wishes from my blogging friends. I've got to go and upload a George and kitty friend picture!
I just took a peak and I am loving the tree in the silhouette. So beautiful but of course they all are. You will do so well with this.
Best luck with your artwork. I'll go over to Etsy to take a look. Your work is an inspiration worthy of sales and publication and someone holding a frame and smiling, smiling, smiling.
Your Etsy site is great! Congrats, good for you, and best wishes! I see some of my favorites on there.....the Tree in Silhouette, the stairwell, and the praying mantis.....I may have to seriously consider a purchase in the near future!
Congratulatiosn, it looks great!
