Come share a cup of tea with me

As you’re reading this, I’m travelling for a couple of days with my husband and George. We’re just taking a small road trip and had originally planned on camping, but have instead opted to get a cabin somewhere and camp in luxury. We plan on taking some nice walks, enjoying nature and just seeing what each day brings.

It’s been raining for the past several days in Maryland. I took this photo out the breakfast nook window yesterday morning.

Wish I could tell you where we’re going, but there are so many weirdo’s out there I don’t want to risk it. I hope to have a lot of good photos to share when we get back.

I enjoy being in the woods and surrounded by nature and so does my husband. We just need a change of scenery.

I hope the cat understands.

Until tomorrow, my friends . . .

...The title for this post should've been "Country Girl Gone Wild"...*giggle*snort* ;o)

...Okay, okay all kidding aside, I'm glad you and hubby opted to go on this trip, you both need it and the cabin idea sounds wonderful!

...Can I borrow that breakfast nook while you're gone? You know, just to wile away the hours while daydreaming out that window? Love that btw...

...Have fun you two!

...Blessings... :o)

I always worry about the cats, since they live at the studio full time, and I don't...but they seem to adjust, and honestly, most of the time, I don't think they give a hoot.

I'm glad you didn't tell us. That creep Ed might find you and cover you in his characters. Happy travels;)

I read your post about savoring the quiet, and although I'm sitting in the middle of congested DC suburbia and have a day full of "stuff"....I was reminded to P A U S E, exhale, breathe in the first sunny day in ages....and savor the quiet!

Thank you Country Girl!

Found your blog from Trials and Tribulations of A Southern Gardener.
I'm also new to the "blogosphere" and I just wanted to say that I like yours very much. I like dogs, and Grey Poupon mustard and your mustard story. And the horse pics. And the sentiment. Have a wonderful time

Heck fire, gal...I just wished you'd kept this information to yourself and posted via time lag entry. Unless, of course, you have a house sitter and that makes it safer at home. We always have a farm sitter due to reasons you've listed and more.
Have a great refreshing, relaxing time of renewal; God's blessings on you three.

It is so lovely to just go, and be peaceful.

I'm glad you told us you are taking a trip.

I always enjoy someone else's vacation vicariously...it feels as if I get a bit of a break too!

best wishes to you both for a wonderful time.

Pretty. Pretty. Pretty. I love the pairing of the red of the window and the brighter red of the flowers. When I look outside my kitchen window, all I see is my neighbor's bathroom window. Errrrgh.

Camping in a cabin. That sounds ideal. Hope the three of you have a fabulous, fabulous time. :-)
