About a dog

Remember when I told you that I didn't want to take my camera out when my friends were here last weekend? I didn't want them wondering as to whether or not I'd be posting pictures of them on my blog, and who needs that sort of pressure? So I kept my camera to myself, until George decided to grace us with a show of his frisbee catching abilities.

As we all sat on the sidelines, my husband threw one after another for George to catch. What a ham! He loved it.
I think he was playing to the audience because we were clapping and exclaiming "what a dog"!
He missed this one, though.
Go get it George! This one's going right off the page.
He keeps bringing it back for more.

And more.

Extreme border collie concentration here.
Great catch, George!

Time for a well-deserved rest.
Thanks, George,
for that excellent display of doggie talent!

Until tomorrow, my friends.

Border Collies are such smart dogs. I once had a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd cross. The smartest dog! I miss her.

that's a beautiful dog! I love watching dogs run around in large grassy patches. They always look so happy. Like kids! Give them a big space and they're happy running around :)

My 3 dogs do nothing in the way of canine olympics. They mostly lay around looking cute. Only Kady will swim in the pool once in a while. She requires lots of coaxing and only if I'm there as a swim platform. Way to go George!

George is a very handsome canine, and very agile. Excellent photos! I have only lazy cats! No frisbee catches around here. :(

Your photo-catching keeps right up with George's frisbee-catching!

Border collies are so talented! I loved looking at George's flowing black and white coat in these pics. Great show, George!

In the dictionary beside "joy" there should be the 7th picture in this series!!

What a dog!!! Wow! My dog, Bailey, is a great dog and is part border collie -- but he certainly does not have such talent as George!! Goodness! I guess every dog and every person (!) has their own talents! I sure enjoy watching George grab those frisbees!!

And, of course, great work on YOUR part for capturing the images!!

Take care.

Awww! Cute!

My lab, Jack, loves to play ball and will throw the ball at you until you throw it for him. Nothing like a big slobbery tennis ball landing between your feet 50 bazillion times. :)

And gravity-defying to boot!

Yes, he is the Marshall Faulk of the canine world. But cuter. :)

Great pics, Kate. It can't be easy shooting a running, twisting, jumping model!

I love George's energy. I'll bet he could give Benny a run for the money. Great captures!

That looks like so much fun!

I overcome the fear people have of ending up on my blog by not telling those people I have a blog, I regret losing the readers, but enjoy the anononimity.

Pictures of the dog like that almost make me want to have one.

Thanks everyone. I haven't been able to write until this morning (Saturday) and George woke me up and is really wanting to be taken on a walk. I don't even have a post planned for today!

George is one heck of a dog! I hope you were having as much fun as he was when you were taking the pictures!

Your photos are great, as usual! George was a great "subject" for you to photograph, must have been hard to catch him in those shots and have them turn out so perfectly clear and stable!

Great job!
