I was tagged in a Photography Meme over at Daryl's blog, Out & About in New York City. The object is to go to your 4th photo file, then to your 4th photo inside that file and then post it.
When I went to this file, I was surprised and gladdened to see a picture of my husband there! I had taken it in early April when we lived on the horse farm we'd been living on for ten years until he got let go. Things were fine and life was pretty good. He had just thrown a frisbee to our puppy, George, when I caught him in my long lens with this shot. I remember working on it in Photoshop with some B&W actions I'd just purchased from Kevin Kubota's site.
I could tag people, yes I could. So here's how I'm going to do it, and listen up photographers out there ~ all of you who have blogs, from beginners to experienced: (gosh, I sound like I do on the intercom at school, "listen up, students") ~ If you take pictures and you have photo files, you are all tagged to post this meme, ok? Feel free to link back to me and show me your pictures! And consider yourselves officially "Tagged"!
And now, a word from George:
Hi, this is George.
(he's really not talking, you know that, right?)
I got a present today from mom's friend, Terrie.
(he really did. it came in a basket along with pampering presents for me.)
Terrie works at a neo-natal hospital in Baltimore. Johns Hopkins.
(omg. he is such a smart dog. i only mentioned this once to him.)
Mom told me that Terrie's favorite part of her blog is when she posts about me.
(also true. this dog doesn't lie.)
I want to thank her for the dog yummies.
(he's never had this kind before.)
I also want to give everyone my address:
It's George Young . . .
(no, George, no. bad dog. this is not polite.)
Well, people might want to send me something.
(ok; he's chewing a yummie right now and has totally forgotten this conversation.)
Anyway, thanks Terrie! I really needed that!
The contest to win the framed print is still on (see 2 posts below) and will be on until Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 6 PM Eastern Standard Time. Winner to be announced at 9 PM when I post Thursday's post.
Thanks for all your good wishes on my Etsy shop. It means a lot to me.
Until tomorrow, my friends . . .

Great shot of your husband and what an adorable message from George. Clever pooch. Just don't tell Benny that George has these privileges or he'll be wanting his own blog.

That's one handsome boy. Your husband is pretty cute, too.
What a way to make you smile when that was the picture you opened up. You sure have two handsom boys in your life.
I've posted a photo for the meme. And I LOVE George photos, so today's post was fun. I truly enjoy your blog.
What a fun meme! I may try it out on Thursday! If I do, I will link back to you ;0)
Thanks for the encouragement! I'm just going to keep plugging away and keep looking at other's efforts to try to train my eye. And although I grumble, I think it's the effort I enjoy :)
What a nifty shot of your husband....how nice the meme landed on his photo! Haha....I just checked my 4th file,
4th photo.....its 4 baby kitties crawling around on my bare feet!
And, tell George what an amazing dog he is, and he certainly deserves the pampering!
Fabulous profile pic of your husband! It looks like a movie shot. Maybe from "The Horse Whisperer"! :^)
I will try to post it tomorrow as I am having difficulty uploading tonight.
Great idea for a meme!
I'm doin' this - but my photos don't go back terribly far....9 years or so I think. BUT I'll sort it all out.
Wonderful photo of your two ~men~.
I'm playing!! I found the picture for the photo meme and put it into my blog, so go check it out!!
That is a great Picture you found of your hubby. And George is a very cool dog!!
Hi George,
My name is Kady. My proper name is Kady Elise but my family calls me Kadybug. Today is my birthday; I am 5 years old in human years. My fur would look nice next to yours as I am a West Highland White Terrier. I'm like totally crushing on you Georgie and would love to date. I enjoy long walks in the park, napping in front of the fireplace, chasing squirrels, playing with my large collection of squeaky toys, and barking at the mailman.
You can see a picture of me on my mom's blog. I hope you think I'm cute (mom and dad tell me I'm beautiful).
I love you, Georgie! I can't wait to get my paws on you. Will you marry me?
I want my mommy!
~ George
That is a fantastic shot! Hope all is well.
I will do this one for sure Kate - I think I might have a few photos around the old hard drive. :)
Great shot of your dh. Love the conversion. I think black and white conversions of people are my favorite.
George is so brilliant, isn't he?
Good luck on the Etsy shop. What fun!
Love it. Both your photo of your great hubby and the note from George, -He's such a polite dog.

Hello Country Girl, I've come via goodness knows who, but I do know willow! I've enjoyed your blog immensely. Your husband is very handsome, as is George of course. My Buster would love to play with him but we are rather a long way away, in Ireland! Do pop over to my blog if you get a chance some time. I love taking photos too.

Love your photography Meme and decided to take you up on your offer - particiapted today.
Country Girl, I am such a dog person. Yes, my dogs do talk on my blog and appear very often. My children are 26 and 22 and no longer live at home. My husband gets tired of me taking pictures of him. The dogs go along. I have one that hates the flash but they are a great subject.
Great photo of your husband; my photo is found at
