This post is for Rich, my co-worker and friend who has been reading this blog from the beginning and who insists that I do a post every day. For my fans, you know. Right.
My name is George. Throw me a stick. Please?
Anyway, I swore to him before I left work today that I was NOT posting anything for tomorrow, as I was planning on just leaving the contest up until 6 PM and then announcing the winner. But he assured me that I would not be able to do this. He told me that I'd want to write something. Anything. "Write about this", he tells me, holding up a pair of queen sized control-top pantyhose that someone has donated as a prize for our Family Bingo Night this weekend. I swear, in the box of prize donations, there really is a pair of pantyhose. I pity the poor child who fills his card and calls out "Bingo", only to win this little number.
That would never happen. But it is funny to imagine. And I am easily amused.
Speaking of which, my husband took this photo today. And George does NOT look amused.
REMEMBER: Giveaway contest (below) ends tonight (that's Thursday, Feb. 26) at 6 PM Eastern Standard Time. Winner will be announced by 7 PM. And with the number of entries, I may have to choose more than one winner . . .
'Til then, my friends . . .
Oh, and this is a PS ~ To those who have e-mailed or have left inquiries on the comment form, the answer is yes, my prints are for sale. I just thought everyone knew that. My etsy site is on the right sidebar, if you are so inclined as to come visit. But that is NOT why I am having this contest. I just like giving stuff away every now and then. I did add a few items to the site today, per customer requests.

Please tell George that I would be happy to throw him a stick.
No matter the mood, George is one handsome dude.
;-)
Dear Country Girl , tell George please that he looks rather enigmatic in this picture and still very handsome!!
I'm with everybody else. Just love those George pictures.
This is a great photograph and a BEAUTIFUL Border Collie. I work at a vet hospital in an area in Oregon where Border Collies are one of the most popular dogs. George is by far one of the most unique BC's I've seen.
Your dog is gorgeous! Those eyes! And your photography is stunning!
How come there are no photos of George to be given away??? Sorry, the lionesses made me ask that one...
For myself I think I'd have to go with the Queen Anne photo..Not sure if I said that correctly- but all the photos were gorgeous but I think that one would go best in my home..I'm thinking bedroom- it's colours are peaceful- green is one of my favourite colours- so that would probably be the one for me if I got lucky...
Have a super day!!!
What a handsome dog you have!!!
My girl Terri came across your blog and sent me the link. I am a photographer as well!
Great blog, love your work!
Awww....George, why the not amused face?
Can George come over?
George is beautiful.... er....handsome. My Riley is only partly border collie..and when I see pictures of 'real' ones it makes me that much more aware of my 'border collie's' block-head. =P
George looks like he's getting ready to say something really nasty! He is very handsome no matter what he's getting ready to say!
Even I wouldn't want to win queen size pantyhose and I am queen size!!
I hope you're not planning on giving away pictures to people with textures you've used that don't belong to you. If so, that is illegal, and copyright infringement is a serious offense.
George was (I read dog attitude) simply conveying his desire for the photo session to end so he could go play FRISSSSBEEEEE
Dear ArtOfDecay,
I have tried to contact you via your Deviant Art site. Would you please e-mail me? I have questions for you regarding copyright rules.
Thanks. katydid56@gmail.com
Thanks to Rich. Who could miss a day of your zany...and I don't use that word lightly!...humor.
Queen Size Panty Hose? LLLLOL
That stuff just happens.
:-)
I am totally seduced by that picture of George, who seems to be looking straight into my eyes.
That is definitely the border collie glare! It's almost as if he's glaring, thinking that if he does it just long enough, that stick might throw itself, or the human will get a clue and throw it!
Oh, i think George is just pondering whether or not they might be control tops...
Kate,
George sure does LOVE the camera. This is absolutely GORGEOUS!! I can't believe what a beautiful dog he is...I am so IN LOVE! ~ Cheryl
