Giveaway at my place! Ends Wednesday, July 1

I am a sentimental fool.

Yesterday, I woke up and wrote the post below this one. And as soon as I hit the publish key, I read it back I realized how gushing it sounded. So I wrote a comment immediately at how much of a sap I thought I was.

And then, because I was in a hurry and my day was going to be full of visiting and traveling, I shut the laptop and didn’t open it again until I woke up this morning. And I remember thinking as I booted up and opened my e-mail account what a foolish sentimental sap I am sometimes. I actually thought I’d lose followers because of that. Do you believe this drivel?

So you can imagine my surprise at finding a full inbox with comments completely to the contrary of what I had thought. One person even wrote, “Saps ROCK! SAP ON!!!”

Hilarious!

So to all my fellow sappy friends, I’m holding a giveaway because I love you. I love beautiful mornings and sweet kitties, cute dogs, handsome husbands and being thankful for all that I have. But there is a catch. (You saw this coming, didn’t you?)

This Giveaway is only open to followers of my blog.

THIS IS NOT A BLATANT ATTEMPT TO ATTRACT FOLLOWERS. If you’ve been reading my blog and haven’t yet signed on as a follower, go ahead and enter. You don’t have to sign up and “follow”. I’ll know who you are because I’ve been reading your comments for months on end. If you want to sign up to follow, fine. Go ahead.

In your comment, please leave me a way to contact you if you win. I’ll be using the random integer generator at random.org to choose the winner. And please, if you sign on as anonymous, leave either your first name or your initials so I can tell who you are.

Giveaway ends Wednesday, July 1 at 6 PM. Winner will be posted before 9 PM on Wednesday.

Here’s what you could win:

I love birds and I love the color red. This little ceramic bird and this beautiful pair of fabric napkins would look lovely in your home. They’d look lovely in mine, too, and I’m thinking of going back to the little shop where I purchased these and getting a duplicate gift for myself. But I won’t. I’ll just think about it.

Rock on, readers.

Love ya,

I love birds! In fact, I have several on my buffet in the dining room in a little nature setting. I would love to win...so...
PICK ME! PICK ME!

The little bird reminds me of the white dove that appeared here awhile back and stayed a few days. She was beautiful - we missed her when she was gone.

You appreciate the simple things in life - how could that possibly be a bad thing?!

Thanks for entering me in your drawing -

Sappy - NO WAY! The simple pleasures are why we live in rural PA. We love sitting on the deck and watching all the hummers at the feeders, listening to their wings as they whiz by. Ay night we sit out and watch the stars, and if we are lucky seeing a meteor, or sometimes even the space station. Love the sounds of frogs and toads, just give me the simple life. DAR

Oh so happy to comment that I forgot, I sure would love to win your gifts, lol DAR

The material is lovely and the bird is really cute; nice giveaway.

Personally, I did not think yesterday's post was sappy, just thankful - and what's wrong with that?

And by the way, I love birds too, they figure heavily in my mixed media sculptures.

I don't know why you think anyone would be driven away by your feelings; that's part of what we love about you! (That, and your beautiful dog and stunning photography. :-)

I mean that, even if my nose now looks brown, and would love to be entered in your drawing. You can follow my name's hotlink to my blog, where there is an "Email me" link.

I love sappy. You know how to get ahold of me and I LOVE that bird. It would match my kitchen PERFECTLY!. I gave you a little shout out on my blog today too. You know your Moody Blues.
*hugs*

I don't think you have to worry about losing followers. You have an amazing blog and I know I enjoy visiting just about everyday. So it's okay with me if you're sappy as long as you continue to post photos of George.

Have a great week.

Oh dear. My gratefulness flows as well... little snippets that add up quickly & reveal my inner sap (which is not very well hidden in the first place).

Appreciating what we hold dear... the big & the small... if that doesn't deserve celebrating, what does?

((hugs))

:0) Kate...there is a difference between sappy and sentimental. Sappy is not sincere, sentimental is dripping with sincerity. And you, my friend are sentimental.

I am also digging this weather we are having. It is heaven, is it not? On my walk early this AM I saw a doe with twins. So sweet! Made my day.

I also love birds and would love to win the prize!

xoxo

Lovely bird!
Wish I knew where that shop was.
So few little shops like that where I live and spend money. So I just buy fabric.

And in re: Sap post. I didn't think it all that sappy. Just thanking whomever for a good life.

Wow...I can't believe I wasn't one of your followers yet! You've been a staple in my Google Reader for so long I just assumed I was!

I've been following your blog for about a week before you took a little break then went on vacation. I'm not sure how I got here, but your blog is one of the few I check everyday. I love George, we had Flash, a beautiful border growing up and I would love to have one again, but we have only a teeny yard and that wouldn't be fair. Teresa in Saint Louis

What a lovely bird! Reminds me of the mother bird who flew out of my hanging begonia basket on my front porch yesterday. Those napkins are nice too! Hoping I'm lucky! V.

You are too funny. I guess I didn't miss much since I didn't log in yesterday. Ahhh...My mother would indeed love this bird. I think it might even make her day!

Now I wanna know just how sappy you got. I hope it's still posted. I have a hard time believing there could be anything to fear in that.
