Cruisin’ on the Coastal Highway in Maine

One day when we were heading back to our rental cottage in Maine a couple weeks ago, we got behind this vintage vehicle in Maine, so I snapped a few pics.

What we didn’t know was what was in front of it.

DSC_0882 copy 2

It was a long line of vintage cars. How often does this happen?

We followed them north for many miles.

This place is for sale in Milbridge. It has a view of the water AND an indoor swimming pool.

We see vintage cars around here often. We live right off the main road between a lot of towns that host car shows. They never cease to make us stop and look, they are very awesome cars. imagine the stories most have to tell?

I have been missing your questions!

1. What’s your favorite summertime drink? Iced tea mostly. Although I am with Bush Babe, after five I love a drink I learned to make, raspberry something or other over ice -raspberry vodka, chambord, cranberry juice(I use cranraspberry) and a splash of lime juice. Yummy on a hot night.

2. When were you last in Ocean waters? Three weeks ago with a friend in NJ - interestingly enough I only go in thigh deep max (Jaws at too young an age) and a shark washed up a few days after we were there! going back to Ocean City in two weeks! Usually prefer Myrtle beach in SC

3. When did you last attend a sporting event? Hate live Sporting events really. Stick to the Reading Phillies, which for me was probably last summer sometime.

4. What is your first name? How do you feel about it? Andrea - Andi mostly. I used to hate it, since I have a twin sister named Angela, and THAT was the cool name in the 70's. I had the "matchy matchy" name. But not it suits me and I love it.

5. Can you keep a secret? Yes, and there are way too many people who know it. :)

4. Jeanne...not Jean...not Jeannie.
It's French pronunciation of Jean.
1 in 1 million people pronounce it correctly. So with that, it's been a hard name to live with all these many years!
5. My best friend and I confide secrets to each other...that way the secret does not drive us crazy.

It's been years since I've been to Bar Harbor. Quaint little town filled with tourists from what I recall. I would love to visit the antique shop!

1. My fave Summertime drink ... seltzer water.
2. As often as I visit the beach I don't often dip my toes in. I will tomorrow though!
3. Last sporting event? My daughters Field Hockey game last fall.
4. Sharon. It's okay. I suppose it suits me. Plain. I was almost Naomi!

3. When did you last attend a sporting event? I went to Emily and Kelly's softball games.. Emily is 9 and Kelly is 11.

4.What is your first name? How do you feel about it?.My first name is Phyllis. I was named after my husband,Dave's cousin. This is before I met Dave. So weird.. Phyllis took care of my mom after she had a car accident and then after I was born she took care of me.. She was a wonderful lady.. My mom named me Phyllis Anne, and called me Anne. Only time I get to use Phyllis is signing documents and when I go to the hospital. Nurses used to get mad at me because I would not wake up to the name of Phyllis.. then I told them I go by the name of "Anne". from then on, I told them to call me Anne if they wanted me to wake up after surgery..

5. Can you keep a secret Yes, I can keep a secret most times.. Depends on what it is all about.Working as a head custodian at the school, teachers would confide in me and of course I wouldn't tell anyone..or if the high school kids would come and talk with me I would keep it to myself.. The secret to keeping a secret is not to tell anyone.

4. My first name is Laura. I use my middle too in business; Laura Lee. Many in the pro-photography cyber-world refer to me as LLR (my initials). But back to Laura....I have always thought it was a nice name. The older I get, the more I appreciate the older name feel to it. Not 'too many' Laura's around, and I appreciate that too.

My favourite summertime drink is Lemon Iced Tea Snapple. It quenches my thirst like nothing else. It also revs me up like crazy. I can get a lot done after I've had a drink of Snapple. *grin*

I don't actually recall the last time I was IN ocean waters. I was near ocean waters in November 2008 (Yikes!) when I went to Mexico. Didn't swim in it though. The undertow was too strong.

I'm not a big sporting event fan. So, I suppose, I would have to say Equestrian Jumping at least 2 years ago for $100, Alex. Hmmm....will have to put that in my calendar again before the events are all over for the summer.

My first name is actually Beverly. I've always been referred to by my second name, Carolynn. But even that has it's wrinkles...I wrote a post about it here: http://aglowingember.blogspot.com/2008/09/what.html

Can I keep a secret? Do bears...you know?
