Random thoughts with links

1. I love George Clooney, and even more so after today.

2. Tonight I’m going to put on my pajama pants and a soft sweater, and then I’m pouring a glass of wine and watching My Week with Marilyn. The movie came in the mail today from Netflix.

3. There’s a cool new site that I’d like to introduce you to called GardenStalking. Created by a long-time blogging pal, whose DessertStalking site draws 10,000 weekly visitors, it’s a place to share anything related to gardening. Bloggers can submit a small photo, along with a headline and caption that will link back to your blog. All of the submissions are monitored, and if selected, are posted on the site (unlike Pinterest which monitors nothing and stealing is rampant). It’s easy to register if you’re interested in joining. And even if you’re not, it’s a great place to visit for garden ideas and eye candy.

4. And speaking of eye candy, my little geranium bloom is looking more beautiful every day. This is what it looked like ten days ago.

5. I bought this little top and wore it to work one day this week with a spring sweater. Then the Duplo machine began acting up and while removing one of the masters from the drum, I got black ink on my brand new top. Fortunately, I didn’t pay the price seen on the link. (I got it for a steal in a private sale). And even more fortunately, I got the ink out before it set. Well, all but one tiny little spot, but I can live with that.

6. Tomorrow is going to be spent doing some badly needed cleaning. I actually am looking forward to using my new vacuum again.

So how are things in your neck of the woods?

Hope your weekend is a fine one, my friends ~

Gosh, I hadn't seen that George got arrested. Good for him. Have you seen him in The Descendants? He was wonderful. I need to see it again.

Your photo is so pretty. I have been visiting you, just not commenting much. We have rain coming in so I will probably spend a fair amount of time inside this weekend in something jammie-like. Well, except that I have horses here this week and have to take care of them along with all the other critters. So maybe sweats and muck boots. Sounds about like any other day:-)

mmmmm.... love me some George Clooney; and I love that he cares and he doesn't seem to care just for the show of it; I saw him interviewed on Jay one time and Jay asked him what he and his friends gave each other for Christmas and George laughed and made a genuine comment on how they don't need to be giving each other gifts (recognizing how ridiculous it is for such wealth.....)

my mom takes pity on me from time to time and gives me money to get my house cleaned..... and so I did just that. I use a lady I have known for years and she is dear and I used to work with her special needs son for PT and it is nice to have someone I trust so completely and cleans so completely well and nice to have a mom who takes pity on me!

like all my run-on sentences??

Yeah, I deleted my Pinterest account after reading up on their policy, which basically says that if someone has a beef with me pinning their photo, I'm the one they can sue. No, thanks!

The guy even looked good handcuffed! He was keeping an eye on his dad who was also arrested! So were some of my MA Reps!

What a beautiful top! Happy to hear you were able to get it back (stupid little spot) so that it's fit to wear again!

We're having a little St. Paddy's Party with some friends at our cottage in Maine.

Cleaning huh . . . hmmm, maybe I'll do some too!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Yep - George is pretty awesome! It would be great if other celebrities would follow his example!

LOVE your geranium!
Life has been hectic this week - and this weekend will be too...... I would like to go away for two days and just be by myself .... ever feel that way?

I have a shirt like that too, in a dove grey. George is wonderful, now even more so.

Things in my neck of the woods are uneventful, and that's a great thing :-)

I agree about George. I saw a lot of people dissing (is that a real word now?) him for it, but I think it was a good thing.

How was the movie? It's on my list.

That is one gorgeous photo!

George.. did you name your dog after him? ;)

My neighbour runs a limousine business and often does the driving himself for the high profile clients - mostly sport celebrities but often actors. He said that he has a load of stories to tell one day, and that there are some very rude, nasty folk among the stars, but wouldn't say who or what right now. I respect that. He did, however say that the kindest, warmest most genuine person he's had the pleasure of driving was George Clooney.

George Clooney is.....yummy!!! Yes, I am a 52 year old woman and I used the word yummy to decribe a man. ;)

Is your furry boy, George shedding a lot? I a have a Sheltie that has been shedding since January. I could knit him a coat with all the fur he has shed. Thank goodness for swiffers.

Have a great weekend. I have corned beef cooking in the crockpot for dinner tonight.

Thanks so much for the shout-out Kate & also for the submissions which are every bit as lovely as I figured they would be. We are glad to have garden shots from bloggers - especially for your own gardens or public gardens, but really we are happy to have them all. Have a great weekend, my friend, and enjoy that new vacuum! :)

Garden Stalking is so cool, thanks for the link. I submitted something to them and it's up there now. I have a lot of flower/plant posts so hope to submit some more.

Hi Kate,

I just found your blog and I'm loving it! And your photography is just as lovely as your blog ... I am definitely going to be a returning visitor! I also just found Garden Stalking and wanted to thank you for stopping by!

Your geranium photographs are lovely, especially the soft pink against the darker background. I have a geranium that I've overwintered twice in my kitchen (with lots of travel around the house so she gets enough light) ... and she just keeps pushing out blooms every other month!

Happy St. Patty's Day!

That is such a pretty top, I want one too! And oh my, going to check out the garden site, thanks for that link. I love the soft color of your geranium, mine are all bright and I am on a quest to lighten up my garden palette. Yes George, he's really something. His father Nick used to be our newscaster when we lived in Cincy many moons ago and I see he still looks great. Have fun cleaning, I actually enjoy it too! xoxo ~Lili
