And smiles you’ll give and tears you’ll cry

I’m writing this post tonight from my usual spot on the loveseat and after this, I’m going to bed. I couldn’t wait to get home from work today. I’ve picked up a cold and need to shake it. So I will rest.
But before I do, I’m offering some haphazard thoughts that are swirling around my stuffed-up brain tonight.

1. If any of you live in the NY state area, within an hour or so drive of Hudson Falls, I have a blogging friend who has two kittens who desperately need a home. Their mother is wild but they are trainable. My friend is willing to pay towards spaying/neutering, so that is a plus. Check it out here and please help spread the word, if you would.

2. We had crazy weather here in Maryland today. A tornado touched down somewhere far south of us and the rain was intense. But by the end of the day, the weather was pleasant, the skies were blue and the birds were singing happy songs.

3. I love you guys and I don’t tell you nearly enough. I want to respond to each and every one of you, and sometimes I actually do. Sometimes I’m unable to and it’s mainly because of this. Well that and the fact that there aren’t enough hours in the day. But I love ya. And I mean it. I appreciate your visits and your kind words.

4.  There’s still time to enter the CSN Giveaway! Contest closes Wednesday at 6 PM. Who wouldn’t want to win a $65 gift card?! See the second post under this.

5. My son is planning on moving out this week. He’s started back to work and things are going a little better. He’s upstairs playing the piano right now and I’m really really going to miss that.
Until tomorrow, my friends . . .

All of the photos in this post were taken this evening during playtime for George, using my Nikon D80 camera and the Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D  lens.

Pink Floyd provided the post title.

I'm well aware of the crazy weather since I'm in Maryland, too. Had not heard about the tornado tho. Scary! Hope you shake that bug/cold soon.

I wished that I lived down the street from you. I'd bring you some Cajun Mexican Chicken Soup...the secret ingredients? Cayenne pepper and jalapenos! Talk
about unstop you and clear out those sinuses too!

Feel better sooner than later,
Jeanne

Scary weather with tornadoes. I grew up in the midwest and we had tornado weather often throughout the spring and summer months. My grandmother's house in Manson Iowa was completely ripped off the foundation in 1979. She hid in the basement and was fine but when all was said and done she looked up and could see the sky overhead.

I do hope you will feel better in a few days..a cold is awful any time.

We just adopted a 4 week old kitten, but I'm sure there is someone who will want two little balls of fluff-they don't take up much room and bring so many smiles!

The piano music is lovely, record some of it for your winsome evenings?

Congrats to your son. Glad things are improving for him. I know that is a relief to you. I have the starts of something too...a little sore throat, tired burning eyes.... Ugh. Hope you & I both can ward it off! I really do appreciate you, too. I am totally serious. I really look forward to your posts, your photos, your insights.

Feel better Kate and I hope things are better for your son. I know you are very busy, but it sure does put a smile on my face when a "famous" blogger like you stops by and leaves a comment! :)

And George, well, I love him!

George appears to be thinking, "Why are you point'in that thing at me again when you should be in bed resting?!" So I hope you are!

Sure hope Hilary finds homes for the kitties...nice of you to give it a mention.

"HI GEORGE!" oh. had to move Isla away from the monitor so she wouldn't see G's GIGANTO pile of toys.

A dog and his tiger. How adorable.

I wish I could take your friend's kittens in. I wish I could take in all the stray animals. *sigh* I really do need a house and some acreage...

Aw, sorry you are feeling bad.

That's nice of your friend to help with the bill. Hope she finds them a good home. The 18 or so that have adopted us (cause I've only brought 1 home #19 - outta the middle of the interstate) are all captured and fixed.

We'll feed them, but not their babies and their babies' babies.....

I do hope you feel better soon!...take advantage of it by pampering your self with tea and naps and being lazy:)

We love you too Kate!

You know....I was thinking that most of us would be satisfied with a dozen or so photos of George....and you could rest....really....love you too....smiles.

Hey Kate,
At least you'll still have that furry son of yours when your two legged son moves out...and check out that adorable face- I'd be so happy waking up to that every day...
Hope you'll feel better soon, lots of stuff going around our nursery also but I'm taking vitamins and being careful and so far (knock on wood) it's paying off...my darling husband however, enjoying warm temps down in Brazil is sick as a dog....would feel sorry for him, but he's got it good and will survive...hahaha..

Take care my friend..
