I put a spell on you

I don’t have a lot to say tonight and I must admit that I cannot wait to get back to my book, The Wednesday Letters by Jason F. Wright.

But first, my husband and I are watching Survivor. It’s what we do, you know.

Tonight on the national news, we saw a cool segment highlighting motion-triggered camera traps set up by the folks at Smithsonian. If you’ve ever wondered what wild animals do at night, you may find it interesting.

This is an update on my ‘Kate rose’, taken Sunday. I added a texture from the new Florabella collection. The whole effect makes me smile.

Speaking of things that make me smile, if any of you are into American Idol and didn’t see Casey Abrams performance last night at the end of the show, I’m posting it below.

I actually missed it. I became a bit disenchanted with many of the performances, so I turned the TV to mute and really got into my book. In fact, I got so engrossed by the book that by the time I resurfaced, Idol was over and two hours had gone by. After my walk today, my husband asked if I wanted to hear something and queued this up on his laptop in the breakfast nook.

Wow. This kid has got what it takes.

Casey, you da man.

Casey Abrams American Idol 3-1-11

Have a beautiful day. Thanks for taking the time to stop by my little corner of the world. Until tomorrow, then ~

We saw that snip on the news tonight too about the Smithsonian's animal cameras. I remarked to my hubby that that's why I follow several blogs that post trail cam footage. It's fascinating to see animals in their comfort zone. :)

I just wait and watch the good ones on YouTube too! :)

Ooooh, excited about the webcam! And Survivor...always interesting to watch (gotta say, I'm rooting for Boston Rob...yup, I'm a fan! I think he's hilarious).

Love the Kate rose--it's beautiful. And I got my prints today, and I thank you SO much! It's just like it looked on my computer.

It was the day of my neighbor's funeral--and my husband brought the mail to me before we went---and it really calmed me down to get them, I think. I got through it without crying anymore. That was a surprise!

I agree...his performance was off the charts.
But I have a wicked soft spot for Scotty McGreery.....who will someday probably be a famous country music star!!!

I really liked Casey and as a country fan I also liked Scott McGreery - I am watching tonight and the woman who sang 1/2 in english and 1/2 in spanish was FANTASTIC! Survivor Rob - love him and have watched all 12 (?) seasons of Survivor too! Ahh what else to do in the winter evenings......

It sounds like a good book, I will have to put it on my list. Your rose is beautiful. I have been watching Idol on and off, so many good people this year, I will get more serious once they narrow it down more.

How you've done this rose it wonderful. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about Idol this year with all the changes, but I'm quite enjoying it. I find there are several really good performers to enjoy. And yes, Casey is certainly one of them.

There is a lot of talent on Idol this year, really I'm wowed by it. I like the country singer too...I think he's got real potential. Actually.. there are many. I said that already, didn't I.

I don't watch so glad to hear this, thanks!

I will check out the animal video..how cool is that?

I'm glad you are enjoying your book. I started one yesterday that I have to admit to thinking is terrible and can't decide whether to stop wasting time on it or see it through.

My favorite Casey Abrams moment was when he played the bass while singing...I loved him from that moment:)

I actually thought the boys were generally very good...but the girls all seemed alike to me.
