Weekly Pinterest finds

Last year, or maybe it was the previous year, I gave up my Pinterest account. As I recall, it had to do with ownership of the photos being posted and the legalities of it all, and I sort of got a little freaked out about copyright infringement. And so, in a fit of unease, I deleted my account and all the boards I had so painstakingly worked to create.

If you don't know what Pinterest is, I will just say that it is a place to find inspiration, recipes, ideas, and just about anything. You create boards and 'pin' your finds onto your boards. If you have a Pinterest account and want to follow mine, I've posted a link on the sidebar here.

This week, I re-instated my account with Pinterest and have since found many beautiful things to share with you here, like the images below.

from my 'Beautiful' board

from my 'Feathered' board

from my 'New York, New York' board

from my 'Classic Portraits' board

and finally, from my 'Wintertime' board

Hope you like these. I'll try to make this a regular thing.

Enjoy your week, all.

Lovely pins ! I have heard that others have had their photos stolen and used else where from Pinterest I do not go on that site so I don't know the rules to whether you have the rights to your own photos when posting them . I guess the same goes for blogger as well but we have all the info of our photos imbedded in the photo from our cameras and it also gets put in our computer when loading our photos from our cameras , So we have proof just in case .There are a lot of sites like that , that do not protect or take responsibility to ones photos and there fore once you put your photos on it they have rights to your photos ! Always read the fine print . Now a days you have to have a model release form signed to show someone in a photo if it is to be used on a website or for any advertising for if they don't sign it they can legally sue if they see it ! Just a bit of info we have learnt from being photographers to much bull now a days ! Just gets my goat that people do this cyber photo stealing ! Any who . Have a good day !

oh no, no, NO. I'm going to be the big poop here, I'm sure, and just simply beg you to NOT go the way of Pinterest on your lovely, sweet, totally YOU blog!

I don't want to see Pinterest crap here, I WANT TO SEE CG'S PHOTOS!!!!!!

Puhleez don't cash in....don't give in....don't go this way. Do this on a "regular" basis???? NOOOOOOOOO.

And now I'll beg everybody's pardon for this terrible outburst. You will probably all hate me (as much as I hate Pinterest) and I am sorry for that, but CG, I've been visiting here a very long time & so I just had to speak my mind.

I love Pinterest too. I used it for a film prop research job so a lot of my boards are strange groups of similar looking chairs, stools and soft furnishings. You've reminded me I need to delete them!

I have not spent alot of time on Pinterest... only because I find my blog and photo stuff take up so much of my time already.. but OOOH there are so many very beautiful finds on Pinterest, as you have demonstrated here... just lovely, all of it.

Oh my! Gorgeous. I have steered clear of Pinterest. I'm afraid I'll like it and never get anything else done, including eating or sleeping. It's a self-preservation thing. I'll enjoy your little tidbits though.

These are absolutely lovely. Well, I've never been on Pinterest but now I just may stop by and investigate. I can understand, just by looking at these items/photos, how you could get inspiration. And God knows I need inspiration now that we are in mid-winter and I'm photographing fruit!

For anyone who makes their living in a creative field, Pinterest is wonderful for inspiration. I totally get my "re-boot" by spending a few minutes wandering the alleys of said Pinland.....but, I rarely post any of my own images....instead, I make sure that any image I post there links back to the creator. That way the photog gets some credit......smiles

isn't pinterest just the best when you need to "get away" for a bit ?
