Weekly Pinterest finds

I don't spend an inordinate amount of time on Pinterest, but I do have a nice collection of boards that I visit from time to time. I use some of the boards to keep ideas for recipes, some are for inspiration, and some are just to look at the beautiful pictures. This week, when I was on Pinterest, I came across a border collie picture and then realized it was George. Someone had pinned it from my blog. And it was being re-pinned.

Here's some beauties for you this week ~

I have a big collection of birds, which shouldn't surprise you.

And then there's this:

This is one of my own on Pinterest. Back in 2010, I was playing around with some textures from Florabella after we'd come home from a vacation to Maine. This texture is called 'Little Blue Book' and I put this image together and wrote about it here:

And now a word from the dog

Hope you enjoyed the pretty spring colors. It's coming . . . I can feel it sometimes.

Thanks for stopping by ~

There have been some red winged blackbirds at my feeders, so Spring isn't too far way.

We just had 13 inches of the heaviest snow I ever shoveled here in Illinois. It is beautiful but I am so over it.

All those photos look like they could have been taken by you. Thank goodness I haven't been bitten by the pinterest bug; I spend too much time online as it is.

These are beautiful.

I have a really, really dumb question I've been meaning to ask. How do you get your pictures to post so big on blogger? (I have only ever posted the standard size and then selected large, but these pics are ginormous. I assume some resizing is involved, but I have no idea really.)

As I don't "do" Pinterest, it was good to see these images that you shared. I especially like the C.S.Lewis quote.

Great pictures, thanks for sharing. I love Pinterest too and work hard on not spending too much time there - lol. I have begun to notice much more bird song in the neighborhood these last few days which reassures me that spring is actually coming. Now to be able to spot the source of those lovely songs. Love the story by George and agree that maybe he needs to be published! ~chris

Love the photos, Kate.
And the story from George, priceless! Must have missed it first time around.

It is raining here ...AGAIN...it never stops! At least it is cool. I love the cool. But after a month, some sunshine might be nice sometime soon! Most unusual, but it is the wet season I guess. Feel sorry for the people who have been flooded two or even three times already!
Please excuse my moaning. I'll try to do better next time. As long as the rain has stopped by then.
I don't do Pinterest, supposed to be cleaning up my house but I am happy to look at your finds.

So beautiful. Such talent out there. I'm a huge fan of Mr. Lewis. Thanks for the quote. I can feel spring in the air here, too, although they tell me we could still get snow as late as May (!!)

Great finds. I have an account but don't get there very often. I think I use it for about the same thing you do. I loved all the photos especially the bird but I really liked your photo.
