No matter what lies around the bend, you will face it with poise, stength, faith, and determination. Just know you don't have to walk the path alone, Kate.
You know, we never do know what's right around the bend. Maybe that's for the best. Sometimes we just have a really sucky year and have to put our heads down and get through it.
But I agree with 'ol Randy. I'll just make my own sweet way around the bend.
I join with the chorus of others and extend my deepest sympathy to you and your family for the loss of your father.
No matter how long a person lives, it is never long enough.
Take care and know that many, many people have you in their thoughts and prayers today... (even me and I am not always the most religious of people but I will say a prayer or three for you and your family).
What a beautiful photo and the words from Randy Travis are so fitting with the scene you shot......Sometimes not knowing what lies just around the bend is what makes the journey worthwhile......gather your strength, fortitude, faith, and wisdom and forge ahead. Blessings and ((((HUGS)))) to you.......
Dear Kate, You are in my thoughts often. I guess part of the trick is to see the beauty all around you as you travel the road. And you not only do that, but share it with all of us. None of us knows what lies ahead. It is how we face what we meet that defines us.
Beautiful, serene, calm - all words to be attached to the photograph on your blog today. We are all travelling that road - am sure that the picture gives you comfort.

Oh, gosh, Kate, what a year you're having. I just read about your father. I am so sorry...!
I agree with Debra, you will face whatever comes with poise and strength. I have a feeling you are what is known as a "wise old soul".

Peace be with you in the days ahead...
Poise and strength... faith, determination...
Or just have a big ole ugly cry with a screwed up face, snotty nose and puffy face. Sometimes that works too.
Yes, "dignity" is my middle name.
Hope that made you smile. :-)
You are traveling your road with more grace and fortitude than I could ever muster.
xoxo,
Lauren

Kate my heart is with you. Just know that people care, even the most surprising of people. Blessings and strength.
No we never know. But you seem to tackle all of life's hurdles with such grace. I am always amazed because I like to stomp my feet.

Blessings on your journey, Kate. Country music lyrics can be so right-on at times.

What a perfect follow up to your last post ... I hope he passed gently in his sleep and you had a chance to say 'goodbye, I love you'.

That is so appropriate for time such as these. I love it!
What wonderful words of wisdom from a very talented man. I hope you found a bit of comfort from those lyrics. Keep your head up, girl.
