I took a walk this afternoon in the autumn chill. George loved it, but got hit on the tail end by a falling walnut at one point. He probably thought I did it!
I love the colors of autumn and found these leaves to share with you.
I'm still wearing the big boo boo bandage on my finger, and even though I type a lot for a living, it's amazing how my middle finger has taken over and is now in charge.
If I could write poetry, I'd write an Ode to My Middle Finger. In this poem, I would lament the things for which I've used this digit in my past. Like the time the trucker in the 18-wheeler tried to run me over. He backed off after I opened the sunroof of my Volvo and used my middle finger on him. I don't do that sort of thing anymore, however.

If I could write poetry (which I certainly cannot!), I would write and Ode to George ;) I love his sweet little face, soft fur, and wagging tail. The fall colors are lovely too, Kate. I am looking forward to photographing lots of fall color when I go to Connecticut in 6 days. I hope my photos turn out half as beautiful as yours!
P.S. Door hardware is from The Home Depot :)
Black and white is definitely a great fall color combo. George looks so cute. I can just picture him jumping in a pile of freshly raked leaves like a little kid. Speaking of leaves your photos are awesome. I'd like to hear the Ode to your Middle Finger! Sounds like a good one to me.
(P.S. thanks for listening to my rant. It's nice to have someone understand)
*hugs to you and George*
beautiful colorse and I see george smiling!!!! Hes so cute!

Those leaves look awesome, but not nearly as much as that wonder dog of yours. He's SUCH a beauty.
oh my goodness, you are too funny! Great pictures as always.
Does he ever stop smiling, that beautiful dog? I could write an ode to my middle finger, too. It wouldn't be as good as yours;)
Hey, I got hit by a walnut yesterday. The crows in the walnut tree dropped it. It really hurt too.
Is there something in the air because I, too, opened my sunroof a few days ago to a man who thought turning left in front of me was the right thing to do. Much to my pleasure, he pulled behind a smelly garbage truck. Turns out I didn't need the ode to the middle finger after all.
Sorry, I digressed.
Your photos of fall are amazing. The acorns from the other day almost didn't look real. And the detail...it's all in the lens, isn't it?
I love these leaf photos! Basic and bright! Ditto for George, too!
Lovely dog - almost smiling. Lovely Autumn leaves - they are only just beginning to turn here in the U K. George really looks as though he can communicate.
I love those leaves and how they put on their best colors for you ... and George .. what a wonderful dog...

I will be posting about them later if thats ok~ Thank you so much they are just beautiful! even better than online if that is possible... you have such wonderful talent!
HUGSSSSSSS Laura
The colors of this season make me so happy! I drove a Volvo for at least 20 years. Loved them, until they changed their classic body shape. Now I clunk arond in an old Land Rover, and really like it, too.
I love the fall colors of the leaves....the yellow leaf is my favorite......I love the way the little green clover is reaching up around the leaf....looks like the little clovers ( or whatever they are ) are giving the leaf a hug........(((((Hugs)))) to you too.
George is a happy, laughing doggie......=)
I love those colors...epsecially George.
Nice blog. I like the photos and style.
I enjoyed the visit.
Come visit anytime,
