I know what some of you are thinking. You’re thinking to yourself ‘Oh, no! She’s showing more snow!’ And to you I say, run then. Run away.
Yes, I am showing more snow because this is my world and I think it’s beautiful.
I also think it’s wonderful to be able to sleep in and wake up to find all sorts of gorgeous sunrise photos on the camera disk. It’s magically delicious.
I stayed up late last night because sometimes I am a night owl. I was watching the most wonderful movie on HBO about a woman named Temple Grandin. One of my favorite actors, Claire Danes is in the starring role and her performance was mesmerizing. I couldn’t fall asleep afterwards from thinking about this woman who did not let her autism define her.
Needless to say, I woke up hours after my husband.
But I still got to see the sunrise.
He dives through the snow and then comes to a spot where he can rest. You can see the house in the background.
The view from the edge of the property. We can see three bridges from here.
I smiled when I saw this one. Can you see George?
I think it’s going to be a beautiful day.
Oh, and check out this cool video featuring photographer Annie Leibovitz’ recent shoot that focuses on directors and the stars of their films. I found it over at Donna Boucher’s Quiet Life.
Have a beautiful day, all.

Love the sun reflecting off the snow. I wish I had the gumption to get up early. I think you and I don't have much of a choice but to show snow...for a while at least :0)
Love the video too. Thanks for sharing that.
I love these! And that video was great, she has such a knack for capturing people in a way we don't often get to see them!
Kat :)
I wouldn't think of running away...loved all the snow photos! :) George is a funny dog, isn't he? Peeking out from that tree!
We've got a big storm rolling in tonight, so I imagine I'll be showing snow on my blog sometime tomorrow. Stop by for the show if you have a minute. :)
We never tire of snow pictures, so thanks for sharing.
P.S. - The Herd believes firmly that letting the humans sleep until sunrise IS letting them sleep in.
beautiful light and shadows ... and George!
George likes to play hide and seek it seems... What a fun shot and what a beautiful sunrise you captured.
Thanks!
First, I fell in love with George peeking around the tree and your husbands shadow. Love that photo! Then, to watch the video about the Oscar nominees, thank you. I am such a huge fan of the Oscars and the films, this was a nice treat on a foggy Sunday morning!
No, snow pics are the absolute best. I also love how quiet it gets when it snows, insulating all the sound.
kate .... if the snow keeps falling....keep sharing it's beauty.... each day....magical! As I have told you before....your talent in capturing the beauty, puts us right there with you. thank you.
George is tricky...great photos...beautiful sunrise
Those early morning sunrise photos are perfect. I absolutely love the way the sun is filtering through the trees....I felt like I was right there.

Your husband is so lovely to take the camera and take the photos for you when you sleep in/are not there! Good on him!! Thanks so much for sharing them with us. Hope you are not snowbound for too long though!
As long as everyone can get warm when they get back in the house, it's all good!
Absolutely gorgeous! Will you be off from school tomorrow?

Oh - these last series of photos are just spectacular. All the snow photos have been great (muchly appreciated here where it is 34deg.C at the moment) but I particularly loved the last ones with the sun reflecting off the snow. Just perfect. And as for George ... it's not Where's Wally, it's where's George! Great to see that he is having so much fun.

And how cute is George playing peek-a-boo behind the tree?! I love precious fur babies!
Beautiful winther pictures. Amazing to see your winter, cause the winter in Norway looks just the same ;-D
This winter however we have never had so little snow. So we do not speak much about it, cause otherwise March will send us piles of snow. And we do not want that !!!
Have a nice upcoming week, I am still trying to adapt to my new life as a housewife. It's hard ... ;-D
Marit
Bring on the snow pics, love them. George is to cute, love him peeking at you!
I just readabout the Temple Grandin biopic. I didn't realize it was on HBO. I hope to be able to rent it at some point. (Both of my sons have autism.)

These sun and shadow shots are just gorgeous and I love George peeking out from behind the tree. Too cute.
You get so many comments that I seldom leave a note. Everyone has already said how very wonderful George is and how beautifully you photograph your world. But I had to check in this time to say the that low angle sunrise through the trees just makes my heart sing. THANKS.
Where's Waldo, oops sorry, where's George? He's so cute.
Love the way the sunlight whispers across the snow....beautiful....thankn you!
the sunlight shots are pure magic!
May I just say I don't think it's fair that you have someone else taking the photographs for you. It may be a form of photoblog cheating, though I'm not sure. That said, I hope you pay him well ; )
Amazing sunrise. I hope George knows just how lucky he is.
Snow is all we got this weekend! Nice pix, George and your hubby had a great morning stroll, so nice of them to share so you didn't miss out.
Great video, thanks for sharing!
I watched Temple Grandin the other night as well. It was a great movie- Claire Danes was amazing and what an interesting story.
