What a wonderful world

It rained today, finally. A softly quiet, gentle rain that began at dawn and continued through the whole morning.

I wondered how the morning glories would look afterward.

So I ventured out to see.

These were shot using my Nikkor 60mm f2.8 macro lens. It did a fine job today.

And I think to myself . . .

Thank you for your kindness after Friday night’s post. It always surprises me, the outpouring of support as well as the fact that there are so many others out there fighting illness like my husband is.

Life ain’t so great sometimes, but good heavens, isn’t it beautiful?

Life is life, but it sure beats the alternative.
And yes, there is such beauty.
We sometimes get overwhelmed with the negatives.
But there is SO much good in the world. Easy to forget that, and good to remember.

Oh. the blue flowers are so pretty, Kate. I see so many red and yellow flowers in nature but never enough blue ones. I'm glad you and your husband are no longer feeling blue.

Beautiful pictures! And I'm sorry about your day on Friday. Even when life seems so unfair there is beauty to be had if we can slow down long enough to find it! Wishing you better days!

We even have some morning glories out on the dog field. But it's sure not rain that's watering them! :)

You know I've been in your husband's shoes, waiting my turn at the imaging center. Never a fun place for anyone. I just have to say that he is a lucky man. I know you will say you are the lucky one and I'm sure that's true. I knit too. I burn myself out then have to quit for a time which is where I am now.
We blog, we knit, we pray and we know that yes, it is a wonderful world.

What lovely raindrops your Nikor macro lens has captured. Your photos always bring me a smile. I look at your photos and want to inhale deeply.

P.S. I always refuse the gadalinium.

Life is, indeed beautiful, if we'll but slow down and notice the raindrops on flower petals.

All the colors, and rain drops, are just wonderful! MG's are just a delight at the end of a long, hot summer.

Do yours reseed themselves? I've been told by others that they do but mine didn't.
