It rained today, finally. A softly quiet, gentle rain that began at dawn and continued through the whole morning.
I wondered how the morning glories would look afterward.
So I ventured out to see.
These were shot using my Nikkor 60mm f2.8 macro lens. It did a fine job today.
And I think to myself . . .
. . . what a wonderful world.
Thank you for your kindness after Friday night’s post. It always surprises me, the outpouring of support as well as the fact that there are so many others out there fighting illness like my husband is.
We do what we have to do to get through.
Life ain’t so great sometimes, but good heavens, isn’t it beautiful?
Have a beautiful Monday.

Your shots are beautiful,so peaceful!
Life is life, but it sure beats the alternative.
And yes, there is such beauty.
We sometimes get overwhelmed with the negatives.
But there is SO much good in the world. Easy to forget that, and good to remember.
Hi Kate:
It truly is a wonderful world. Your images are stunning.

your lucky to have slow easy rain...we had bad storms last week...several tornaodoes...heavy rain...the kind that runs off...not soaks in.....
Kate,
It is a beautiful world. Your morning glories are indeed, glorious!!!
Beautiful pics!! The rain drops look so nice. We got a little rain last night but we sure could use some more.
Oh. the blue flowers are so pretty, Kate. I see so many red and yellow flowers in nature but never enough blue ones. I'm glad you and your husband are no longer feeling blue.

It is beautiful. And you will always find that corner....
yes it is ... LOVE the pics. :)
Wow - you totally need to do a series of Morning Glories to sell - like a panorama of shots! Divine.

Beautiful pictures! And I'm sorry about your day on Friday. Even when life seems so unfair there is beauty to be had if we can slow down long enough to find it! Wishing you better days!
Kat :)
lovely. I especially love the shot of the purple flower.
Stunning shots of the rain drops on the morning glories! I hope you found a little tranquility while taking these photos...
These beautiful serene images are bring me much peace and clarity...so pure.
it is, and these are. beautiful.
We even have some morning glories out on the dog field. But it's sure not rain that's watering them! :)
You know I've been in your husband's shoes, waiting my turn at the imaging center. Never a fun place for anyone. I just have to say that he is a lucky man. I know you will say you are the lucky one and I'm sure that's true. I knit too. I burn myself out then have to quit for a time which is where I am now.
We blog, we knit, we pray and we know that yes, it is a wonderful world.
You are lucky you've got beautiful flowers surrounding you..
And yes, this is a beautiful world..
Absolutly!
Glorious Kate - no other word will do.
And so... we have to simply choose to focus on the beauty instead. :c) Have a blessed day my friend!
I can hear the flowers sighing!
oh, these photos are awe-some.
We've got that rain too... I'm loving it today.
I can count on your weather coming up to us about 12 hours after it's started where you are :-)

love morning glorys they remind me of being a kid and I would stick my nose in the middle of one and smell deeply and they would close on my nose...beautiful pics of rain kissed Glory.
the furled Glory looks like its about to punch ...
What lovely raindrops your Nikor macro lens has captured. Your photos always bring me a smile. I look at your photos and want to inhale deeply.
P.S. I always refuse the gadalinium.
Life is, indeed beautiful, if we'll but slow down and notice the raindrops on flower petals.
Blessings,
Carolynn

All the colors, and rain drops, are just wonderful! MG's are just a delight at the end of a long, hot summer.
Do yours reseed themselves? I've been told by others that they do but mine didn't.
