What’s black and white and red all over?

George’s favorite toy in the world, the Red Frisbee, went missing before the two big snowfalls we had early this month. We had sort of forgotten about the frisbee but today my husband found it while he was cross country skiing in the yard.

And it made one border collie very very happy.

He wants you to throw the frisbee to him. Throw it far.

He will catch it.

DSC_0046 copy 2

He will leap in the air for the prize that is the Red Frisbee.

And if it goes too short, he will stop on a dime and circle around to get it.

He will bring it back to you to throw again.

And again . . . until he is very tired.

And then he will rest. And you can tell he’s had enough.

This has been a public service announcement brought to you by Dogs Who Love Red Frisbees. Thank you for your support.

Respectfully submitted,

All photos taken by my husband using a Nikon D80 camera.

The essence of George should be bottled with his picture on the label and distributed worldwide. Everyone would have to read his instruction booklet on Life and then dab some essence behind their ears and on their wrists.

There'd be no more wars, no more ugliness.

Just the philosophy of George, which is good.

Just gorgeous shots - have you worked on them much Kate?

Did you hubby throw the frisbee and then quickly lift the camera for the pickup? Awesome one of the flying snow at the catch!!

Way to go George! My BC loved to go after sticks and balls, but never quite latched onto a frisbee. Just as well, since I've never been good at throwing one!

Great, great pictures. What an awesome triptych they would make (or fivetych).

Great pictures. Love how one toy can mean so much. We recently moved our hot tub and the dogs were watching patiently. Only after we moved it did we discover a particular Kong - that had not been seen in months - was hidden behind it and happily recovered.

Kate, I was really trying to see these photos but when my lionesses saw it was George on the screen they kept pushing me out of the way to look at him...the nerve!! I caught a litte bit though- what an athelete he is- should be an olympic sport with frisbee catching!! There is a little something for you on my blog- if you want it! Big hugs from Norway :-)

I love this dog...he can't take a bad picture. For one of my dogs it's the tennis ball. The world stops for the tennis ball. Pure glee every single time it's thrown.

George is like our last dog, though her obssesion was with tennis balls. In theory, Riley likes to play fetch, but he gets tired of it pretty quickly. That is when he hides the ball or toy or whatever and comes back pretending he can't find it. He would like his cookie now though, please.

great air shots! What a cutie...our Ellie's favorite is her soccer ball (she's a standard poodle)...sometimes she chomps down too hard and we have to help her release the impaled ball from her teeth.

George is just like our Tori... frisbee in hand = mucho frisbee throwing and rotator cuff injury. LOL That girl loves her frisbee!!

Love your photos of George, they are awesome. I need to snap some of Tori someday while hubby is throwing the frisbee.
