Thanks for your comments from the post below. I never knew a butter dish could move all of us like that. I even had two men respond, both of whom probably think I’m crazy.
Over the weekend, I got a lot of Springtime sprucing up done around the yard. It was the perfect weekend to work outside with the pleasant temps and mostly sunny skies. First thing was to finish up the potting and transplanting a few indoor plants into bigger containers.
I found this little mushroom growing outside in one of the old pots. Perhaps you remember my penchant for fungi.
I used this free texture {Royal Grunge} from Shadowhouse Creations to edge the photo. Have you been to Jerry Jones’ site yet? It’s a wonderful resource for creativity for photography and Photoshop. It’s one of my favorite places to visit.
I’m also fooling around with a new watermark. I’m tired of the old one.
I bought a new pot this weekend. It’s quite shy so I’m only showing you part of it.
This is a little cement tile that I bought in Ocracoke, NC years ago. I created a little spot for it, planting moss around it to make it look like it’s been there for awhile.
It’s fun transplanting moss.
A few hanging baskets just before the sun hits them on the back patio.
A different perspective for my three-tiered planter. I’m way into the shallow DOF lately. (DOF = Depth Of Field).
And I guess that concludes my photo journey for today. Stay tuned tomorrow when I may bring you even more exciting photos.
If I can find any.
Until later, my friends . . .

Love the photos today...it's chilly and rainy here and they brighten up my day.
May I have your old watermark because I love it?? What do you mean that wouldn't work?
Love the photos. I'm living in shallow DOF with you. It's so interesting.
Rainy here..
Thank you for sharing that texture. I've been wondering where you found it. :)
i love finding mushrooms too..they are always a neat little surprise! I like your pot, what it let us see anyway! And I like the tile too, very unusual! Come say hi :D
I am still trying to figure out how to make a water mark! Not devoting too much time to it but it is on my list.
Your plants are very colorful and enjoyed the tile and pot. Your perspective is always unique, that is what makes my visits so enjoyable.
Don't pull on your boots, because it is getting deep...I would not say it, if it were not so.
It looks like a beautiful weekend, for sure. It was stormy and cold all weekend here, so I'm glad there was sunshine somewhere.

Love your pics today! I also love fungi (almost did a master's degree with that focus lol!) It's been raining here, so I didn't get any weeding or planting accomplished this weekend. The DOF is unique, I'm enjoying it!
how i enjoyed my time here ..filled with color ..joy and art..kate it is lovely
beautiful pictures as always!!
i'm so loving dof, too !
so much so that i'm going to try to explain it on my blog....why are words so hard when you want to show something with your hands ?
oh well, i'm not a teacher, but i'm going to try and wing it :)
Lovely photos as always, Kate but really.. shy or not.. you ought to be more generous with your pot. ;)
I do love the mushroom photo. I have been planting flowers and sprucing up around the farm as well. Tired of the winter look.
Mushroom photo - LOVE IT!
always look forward to your photos...
I have so much to learn about Photoshop...love to see the ways you transform your photos :)
*sigh*
Lovin' your shy pot!
Am halfway through a HOW TO Watermark post... but yours is so much prettier than mine!
:-)

Your cement tile is lovely! It reminds me of a shell lying in the sand with the colors of the sky, seaweed and the foam of the waves surrounding it. :0)
All your photos are so very lovely! But, that mushroom...OMG...so delicate and perfect!
I love shallow DOF - one of the reasons I really wanted a "real" camera. The mushroom picture makes me want to move the macro lens wayyyy up on my wish list. :)
Your hanging baskets are beautiful. I'm waiting for two which I have commissioned a local gardener to make up for me. They usually come looking very baron, but end up looking magnificent.

So very pretty and peaceful....love it!
Heaven on earth....
I very much need to do some yard work. I keep thinking that the garden gnomes will show up and get it done for me.......
Oh, lovely....it is just still a little early here, but I will be planting over the next few weeks...so nice to see flowers!

Wonderful color! and DOF....smiles.
lovely .. and you've reminded me I need to add some more plants to the window box the marigolds look lonely and the grassy stuff with the little blue flowers seems to be growing faster and will soon dwarf them ... did you know marigolds keep bugs away? Yup.
Oh, I'm sure you will be able to come up with a few more photos for tomorrow... :)
LOVE the funghi photo, the new watermark, and your beautiful tiered plant stand!
It's pouring rain here today, so no weeding in the garden... but then somehow I haven't weeded when it was sunny yet either... lol
great little 'shroom shot!! love the photos
You do have a way with fungi Kate!...great shot!
I have been enjoying Shadowhouse Creations blog for the past few weeks...I think I found it through your site...and I do love it and have learned the little I know about textures through it...Thanks!

Very kind of you my dear, and deeply appreciate the plug.
Think I'll leave you with a simple response ....butter dish!
I really need to do some springtime sprucing myself. Normally I am finished by now. This year? Not so much.
