My Thursday Three. Or Six.

I am at a complete loss for words, but doggone it, I can do my best and pull at least three things, three random things, out of my hat.

I love hats, you know.

The first is a photo from my files:

DSC_0610 copy 2

This was taken on a foggy morning in Maine on the Eggemoggin Bay as we were about to drive over the Deer Isle Bridge. It was raining off and on and we were heading northeast to Mt. Desert Island for a hike at Acadia National Park.

I love Maine.

The second thing I’d like to share today is a photo I took this week of the morning glories.

DSC_0165 copy 2

They’re a very pale blue this year and when I was walking up behind these little beauties, they almost looked like moonflowers with their whiteness. They won’t last much longer, though. There’s a chill in the air.

I love morning glories.

And third on the list is a photo I took of the candles in the fireplace. I went a little cuckoo for cocoa puffs with the brushes around the edges but it’s all in fun. They smell so wonderful when they’re burning, too. But not as wonderful as dinner smelled tonight when I came in from my walk with George. My husband made tiny bowtie pasta and had a sauce where he incorporated baked beans and onions and tomatoes and I don’t know what else. But it was fantastic, even though it sounds weird.

I love candlelight. And dinner.

There now. That was a lot easier than I thought it would be. And know what else?

It’s always fun reading your answers to the questions I pose once a week. I can’t believe how many people don’t need an alarm clock to wake up! Maybe I need to start going to bed earlier. And I loved reading the best things that happened to each of you all week. All good stuff.

Do you have three things to tell me?

Hope to see you back here, my friends . . .

Hmmm...first one - I like your photos, but you already know that. second one - I missed answering your questions because I'm not a very decisive person when I don't sit and think first, and then I slack and forget to answer and then it's too late. third one - it's driving me crazy that I haven't used my punctuation properly but I'm leaving it as it is because i'm going to get over the need to do everything perfectly right.

Didn't know what you got yourself into with that one, did ya Kate?

:)

i do like your coo-coo for cocoa puff's remake very much

all beautiful in very different ways. a tribute to your skill as a photographer.

You make it look so easy. I'm amazed at how hard things "seem" when we "think" about them, but when it gets down to the "doing" it's never as hard as it seems. Three things: 1) I am simplifying my life so I have time for creative endeavors (it's easier than I thought it would be) because 2) I'm learning to seek my own answers instead of what others feel may be my "gift" and 3) YES! GLEE IS ON TONIGHT! :))

Three good things: I have a roof over my head, a family that loves me, and a warm furry kitty currently sleeping right next to me on the sofa. :)

Do you worship at the alter of the non working fireplace?

If ToonMan hadnt put that chest in front of our non working fireplace I might consider putting candles in it

No, I wouldnt, I have two cats, one of whom is extremely inquisitive

The photo in Maine is sensational

Oh my, dreamy pictures, especially that first one. I always forget about altering colour on photos. Sometimes they look so much better in black & white, or sepia.

Lovely pictures as always.
1) I've a good life and know how to appreciate it.
2) My husband and I are in good health (and have a family doctor which is a really good thing in this day and age).
3) Thanks to you I've discovered Florabella and Flypaper textures. Well maybe I shouldn't be grateful for that as it is taking time away from my quilting - just got to learn how to make the days longer.
