Today I managed to walk the entire perimeter of the property on which we live. It took two separate walks and I was exhausted after each, but exhilarated at the same time.
To think I used to run up the stairs, quickly change into pajamas, wash my face and brush my teeth and be back before the commercials were over, well it just astounds me at this point. But I can feel it coming. I hope to be back to my work before the week is out.
This afternoon, while walking with me, my husband told me to look to my right because there would be a nice surprise. Just seeing a bit of blue sky made me stop and smile!
I’ve been bundling up because of the chill and the damp and my husband snapped pictures of me while I wasn’t looking. I’m putting one of them here for two reasons. One, because my jacket is blue and the other because this is who I am. I don’t post many photos of myself because I’m not into it and of course, I always think I look bad. But in this, I’m almost smiling and I have some color to my cheeks. So those of you who know me in real life, you can see that I’m still here. I miss you at work. I miss visiting and laughing with you. Happy Birthday, Margie!!
To all my readers in the blogosphere, I want to tell you that when I began this blog, I imagined a place where people could come as they sipped their morning coffee or tea, or after a long day, and just feel at peace. And according to so many of your wonderful comments, I realize that I have done what I intended to do. And that’s wonderful to know!
