To show my appreciation for you, the readers of this blog, I’d like to offer one of my most recent images taken during my vacation last week to the coast of Maine.
This archival quality 8x12 image of two young northern spotted owls will be printed on Kodak supra endura vc digital paper and sent directly to the winner from my lab. If you’ve been reading this blog, you’ll know how I came to get this shot, how excited I was to have achieved it in such low light, and how angry my husband was at me for having dawdled so long during our walk that he left me lost in the woods afterward.
Actually that last part is only partly true.
All you have to do is be a follower of this blog, and leave a comment.

Oh, my! I love this shot and would love to give it a good home! (I promise!) I adore owls. Thanks for the chance!
I thoroughly enjoyed all of your Maine shots. Mt. Desert Island and the surrounding coastlines are one of my favorite places in the world - my Grammie grew up on the island and family still owns/runs a garden there.
The owl shot is really incredible, and I totally understand men getting irksome about having to wait for the person with the camera ;-)

This is a LOVELY pic, worthy of a prominent place in our home. It would compliment nicely the red cardinal pic I won on your blog many moons ago. It still sits in a special place in our bedroom. awesome photo, Kate. I would be honored to win it!

These little guys were definitely worth dawdling for!! I was so surprised when your original post of one owl turned out to be TWO!!! What a lucky find!! I spent some time in Montana last week (with camera in hand thinking of you) trying to capture shots of birds in flight -- YIKES -- it was truly hard!!!!
That is a truly adorable photo! Their expressions are priceless and just make this photo cry out for captioning! ;)

I would LOVE that print on my wall! We have Northern Spotted Owls here (with lots of controversy in the past, because of the logging industry), too, so even better.
Being a native new Englander...I would love that print...would look great in the den :)
Fantastic shot ! I am yet to get photos of owls here they live deep in the woods ! Have a great day .
This is yet another beautiful shot - the colors are wonderful, not to mention it features my favorite creatures! Pick me!

Still.. just amazed at the capture of it!!... and I have already scored some of your many beautiful prints, so don't include me in the contest, but I can still admire it :-)
If I win, give it to Lauren .. xoxoxo
All of the photos from your recent trip have been just fantastic, but I have to admit that this one really caught my eye. I fell in love with owls a couple of years ago when a pair nested outside one of the offices where my husband worked. They setup a live webcam and we were all able to watch the appearance of the eggs and then the subsequent hatching and fledging of the chicks. I was addicted to that feed! The parents were Harold and Maude and the babies were Erol and Hedwig. Thanks for sharing all that you do with us! ~chris
Well, it is BEAUTIFUL!! I just love it!

I think Ms. LaLa should win, and I think you should deliver it personally! Just sayin'... :)
What a fantastic give away Kate! This picture is fantastic and would go right on my grand daughters wall...she is such an owl lover!
I showed this pic to my son in law who is a birder and he tell me it is not a Northern Spotted owl which lives on the west coast but is a Barred Owl. An owl by any name remains sweet:)
Thats gorgous, thanks for the chance. I love the photos on your blog.
I too love your photos, Kate, and it would be a hoot to win your giveaway! Thanks or the chance!
It was so worth whatever it took to get that shot. (At least I hope that is mostly true).
It's simply gorgeous.
That was a great giveaway. Oh I forgot to tell you, yesterday on the Dorr Compass Harbor trail we met young Border Collie that was just darling. (Of course George is way more handsome.) He liked Henri, Diane and I, but barked at Diane's husband Danny who had a cane and dark shades. It was too funny! xo ~Lili
