I know I post a lot of photos of trees and am hoping you’re not too tired of them. I just happen to like them.
Especially in the fall and winter.
Life is good today.
Come on in.
The majority of us lead quiet, unheralded lives as we pass through this world. There will most likely be no ticker-tape parades for us, no monuments created in our honor. But that does not lessen our possible impact, for there are scores of people waiting for someone just like us to come along; people who will appreciate our compassion, our unique talents. Someone who will live a happier life merely because we took the time to share what we had to give. Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have a potential to turn a life around. It's overwhelming to consider the continuous opportunities there are to make our love felt.

Wow. I'd never seen that quote before but I think it is my new favorite. I may borrow it. Thank you.
I never get bored of your posts or photos . I love threes in the winter months as well . Supper sounds YUMMY ! I am glad your day was a good one. It is cold and rainy here . That quote is oh so true ! Have a great evening !
When I first started teaching (in the early 70's) Leo Buscaglia spoke to our District at a Welcome Back to School meeting. He was FABULOUS and I have never forgotten this warmth, caring and good common sense!
Thanks for reminding me:))
Love your trees and "seeing" thru your lens! Don't stop.
And a Great quote too!
I like the last photo of the trees the best.
I remember reading Leo Buscaglia's books in the late 70's.
Thank you so much for that great quote...something that I needed to hear right now...
I love the shapes of trees against the skies.
Wonderful quote.
Tomorrow will be a good day, too.
Part of that quote was the "Celebrity Cipher" that I worked earlier!
I'm glad today is better. Dinner sounds like it was scrumptious!
Hugs,
Nellie
I love your photos of trees, post as many as you like! Especially this time of year, with the bare branches, trees have a real "Edgar Allan Poe"-ish quality to them that I just love. :)
Personally I absolutely love the look of tree bones against a sky - any color will do - fall and winter allow us this brief glimpse of the bare essence of these wonderful creatures. Love them and love the photos that you take of them. So glad today was better and hope that tomorrow will be better still. Thanks for the quote - had not seen that before but might also borrow it! ~chris
I love your trees and I loved the quote.
It is amazingly true.
That first photo is mine. Really. I want it. Let's talk ...
The saying at the end. Love it. Where do you find these ...
And, I am glad that today was a good day.
As someone who is counting those, I'm thrilled when they happen.
Always thinking of you,
xo,
JC
Thankfully, I am not the sort of fool who "tires" of a true friend such as yourself.

glad today was better.... it is nice to get a break in the funk...
Your photos are very much appreciated. All of them.
And that quote is absolute truth. ( I started volunteering at local hospice and know this to be absolute truth)
Glad today was better. I love bare branches, like black lace. And that quote, oh my, we should all live by that.
I love trees! I think they are the favorite part of the landscape I like to focus on.
I've been snapping a lot of bare branches against the sky pics myself. Love them!
I also love the quote, had to share.
love it. there is something about the trees and their limbs. so graceful and inviting!
there is a tree near the grocery that I love
my granddaughter points to it as she passes it with her Mom in the car
one day she said "that's the tree Nana likes more than people"
so no, I'll never tire of your trees
visiting you is like getting a hug
I love pondering trees too-the big oak near my front door has a face in the trunk--
the door offered a nice welcoming contrast to the bareness of the trees--and I could smell the ham wafting into the darkness.
Gosh! I loved Leo--
I for one will be glad when it quits getting dark so early.
Love the pics.
Ham.....I think I've forgotten what it tastes like. Yum.
Trees? Never, ever tire of them or your photos of them.
Thanks!
I'm so glad I came to your blog today. Actually, I had about a month's worth of your posts sitting in Google Reader as I have not been reading many blogs lately. I haven't posted on my own blog since last Spring but I'm feeling "the tug" and that quote really spoke to me. I appreciate your continuing to post through the "thick and thin" of life ... I'm one of those someone's who lives a happier life merely because YOU took the time to share what YOU had to give. And you have inspired me to start writing again. Of course, your photography inpires me too. Thank you!
I'm glad to hear your heart is a little less heavy today. LOVE the quote and I couldn't agree more.
ooh, I just love that quote. Do you mind if I repost tomorrow, with credit to you? Awesome.
