All my days

The snow is completely gone – not a trace of it left anywhere in the yard – not even the cold, dark places on the north side of the house. I wish that it hadn’t snowed, that school hadn’t been closed.  There is now one day less to complete everything that needs to be done before I walk out the door on Friday and start our Spring Break.

Took some photos from the window yesterday and generally didn’t do much of anything. I knew I’d be running around all week, making up for it.

She is pretty.

And so are her wings.

I opened the back door yesterday because I heard something out there. Thousands and thousands of birds were chirping as the snow came down. They were all in the top branches of the trees.

The snow continued to fall until 5 pm, and the more it fell, the less it stuck to the ground. It snowed all day long, but we had more snow on the ground when I woke up than we did at 5 pm.

Honestly . . . I would much rather be seeing this . . .

And this . . .

I found these images on Pinterest. You can’t rush the seasons, though. And so, I am resigned to wait.

Meanwhile, heard this tune on a television commercial for (I believe) Sprint. I looked it up and it sounds very much like Nick Drake. I like it a lot.

.

Hope your week is a good one. I adjusted the comments so that self-hosted bloggers can use the comment form. This whole spam thing is driving me nuts. Apologies if you’ve been trying to leave a comment and have gotten nowhere.

What a beautiful song this is, Kate!

Glad the snow did not hang around. We had a storm warning, but then it missed us completely. For that, I am thankful! Maybe it won't be long before we see some flowers.

Wishing you a wonderful evening!

Pink! The color of spring. It just can't be that far away temperature wise. (Can it?)

I finally resigned myself to the waiting as well. The sun has been out, and that really helps. I am loving your birds in flight!

Beautiful, as always. Our more recent snow is starting to leave, and now we (Missouri) are told there is a chance for snow on April 1. Really? We are not amused. I adore your birds on the wing! And the Spring glimpses, of course :)

Beautiful picture of that cardinal!

We've had snow off and on for the past couple of days, with no accumulation. Very rare here at this time of year!

Here's hoping the rest of your week will go smoothly! You will really be ready for spring break!

Such a beautiful bird! *sigh* I wish our snow would disappear as quickly. I'm afraid we're in for a long, slow spring with lots of water & mud. Ick.

(By the way, my birthday present arrived today. *grin* I absolutely love my little cardinal. I've wanted to bring her home for a very long time and am so very pleased.)

Blessings,
Carolynn

I saw our Mrs. Cardinal for the first time this spring a couple of days ago -- they are so pretty!

Love that painted bike you found on Pinterest -- I'm going to try to find an old bike at a thrift this year to do the same thing! :)

Lovely bird photos as usual. You are lucky that your snow has gone. We still have twenty centimetres here in the UK and it is snowing as I write this and there is a bitter easterly wind blowing - Typical Easter.

Love the birds in the tree. They do that in my woods too only not as many as you had.

We think they are having a meeting of some sort.

I changed my comments so annonymous can't do it. Now, I don't get those anymore. That one day I got over fifty .. crazy.

Are you going or doing anything fun for Spring break ?

Funny how that is .. my son was home from college three weeks ago. My other friends son has his this week.

Your female cardinal in the snow is so very good! I know you're tired of snow, but it's such a novelty here that I never tire of seeing these kinds of photos. I do hope you get springlike weather very soon.

I love those little spring photos you found on Pinterest! Especially love that pink-painted bike.

I must pin them to my own pinboard.

Spring is just around the corner--can't wait to see the flowers in bloom and green grass. It's hard to find anything very "pretty" to photograph these days. Love your pretty cardinal though. Happy Easter, my friend. Mickie :)

As usual, loving your photos and thoughts. Sorry to say, I'm not really ready for spring. Maybe, when all the crazy stuff in my life is done with, I will breathe and it will be spring...or maybe summer...yikes!
