I wish I could fly away

Far, far away. Into another life.

DSC_0093 copy 2

I wish I could be George. He doesn’t have much to worry about and life is always happy.

Except when there’s a thunderstorm. George is not happy when there’s a thunderstorm.

Sometimes I really want to fly away, though. Do you ever feel like this?

Until tomorrow, my friends . . .

My husband took these Thursday with the macro lens.

Nice photos. Just so you know, I think your dog is cute. Don't tell my two though.

Why don't you fly on up here for a day? And bring George;)

Fly down South! George is welcome here too! Yes, I can identify with wanting to get away from everything!

George always makes me happy.

I want to fly away ALL the time...at least once a day.

Your bag will be to you on Tuesday...I do hope you love it.

I have had a recurring dream since my teen years that I can fly and would always fly over the neighborhood I grew up in, just above the tree tops and look down where I used to run and play. I've had the dream many times over the years and it is the first dream I had that I realized I dream in color!!

Don't fly away... who would write the blog for you? What would I read?

Yes, all the time. Like Blue Ridge Gal I have dreams of being able to fly and it is wonderful. Wouldn't it be wonderful to really be able to do that? Just fly away from the everyday worries of life!

At times - very much so. I don't like being there. Things are good these days though.

Hubby took some great photos....I think he is getting pretty good and giving you a run for the money!! But how could any picture of George not be great. Wow, your grass looks beautiful...I would love to lay in it and look at the sky!!! .... try it, and maybe for a moment you will feel like you are flying away to another place.

Sure do! I fly away every day for a little while when I sit down to make a drawing or write...coming back seems to get harder and harder as I get older (tomorrow is my birthday, so I am pondering this more than usual.) My little-big dog, Max, doesn't like thunderstorms either...he also dislikes gunshots during hunting season...the poor thing was all a tremble today when the storms rolled through this afternoon...if he could make himself small, he'd be inside my apron pocket where he'd be safe for sure!

Yes, as MPM said - come see us! By yourself or with George!

My Stella isn't bothered by thunder storms. But Jordan, our old dog? She was only happy if she was in one of our laps during the thunder and lightening.

Yeah, a dog's life is great..loyalty and friendship is rewarded often with a good meal and a warm bed...only worries are should I chase the cat today or should I not? Have I peed on this tree or should I? Dogs have it great...
And yes, who doesn't have that feeling of wanting to escape life- fly away and just land somewhere quiet every once in awhile...just as long as you don't want to fly away permanently then everything is ok and perfectly normal!!

My border collie went insane when there was thunder and lightning.
My favorite dreams are of flying away.
But I always come back.

You're welcome to fly away here, to Thistle Cove Farm and visit us.

I second Mama's idea ... we could all meet up .. and have wine ..

And maybe George isnt happy ALL the time ... if you ever spent time here with Gus & Rose you'd know they are not happy all the time ... Gus get downright LOUD about his unhappiness

Just sayin'

I'm always up for some fly away time! If I ever end up air born I'm usually flying to visit my friend in Boston. I just wish it wasn't such a long flight!

Oh boy, do I! Every now and then it all just gets to be too much, and I dream of flying away to Germany or England or France and starting a new life where I make no mistakes and have no regrets, but I know that will never happen, so I take a deep breath, have some tea, check my thyroid meds, and trudge on. I know how you're feeling and I hope you feel better soon. Go out there and give George a hug for me.

Yes,I would love to fly away to somewhere else.Since my husband died I seldom see another person except my oldest daughter. Thank God for her! She just left after mowing my yard.My hedges need trimming and weed eating needs to be done, but I live so far out of town it is hard to get someone to do it all on a regular basis. They have to charge so much to come way out here.I trimmed a few hedges the other day myself and could hardly get out of bed the next day! lol And I can weed eat for short periods of time, but don't have the strength to pull start the weedeater. My hubby always did all of this and I am lost without him. I would get out more, but my little dog want's to go everywhere I do and that just isn't possible.I hate to leave him home alone in his crate! He is good about it,but when I get home his sad eyes break my heart.I am in a rut and I know it.I,like you, would sometimes love to just fly away, but just can't! I read you every day and think of you ofter. I wish you the best of happiness. Doris
