Looking for the light

Earlier this week, during one of our snow days, I spent some time taking photos of my blooming paperwhites, trying different rooms in the house and searching for the right light and the right background.

One of the guest rooms upstairs seemed to fit the bill perfectly.

In fact, I liked the photos so much that I’m having these two printed for use on my greeting cards. For those of you who have asked, I get my card stock here:

Art Supplies Online

I use the Strathmore photo mount cards and purchase them in bulk.

Today was better than yesterday. Still playing catch-up at work because of all the snow days missed, but at least I don’t feel as though I’m drowning.

And I got my hair done in hoitytoityville today. That’s what my co-worker, Rich, calls it. I go to a high end salon every couple of months to get my hair cut and colored. And it happens to be in a rather ritzy area in nearby Delaware.

Thank you for the well wishes that you left on my last post. It never ceases to amaze me how much support is out there when I really need it.

This one is my favorite.

Thanks for stopping by, my friends. Until tomorrow, then . . .

Beautiful Kate.

And I think a haircut is one of the best pick me ups going, except for maybe someone trying to pick me up. I go to the salon a lot....

Hoitytoityville. LOL!! My hair is one thing I will spend money on. I mean it is right on top of my head and when I feel good about my hair I feel better about myself. :)

As usual your pictures are awesome.

I am hitting the Phila. flower show when it opens, let me know if you may go, if it is the same day maybe we can meet up!

Those photo's are just beautiful!! How pretty they would be hanging!!!

Getting our hair done, always makes us feel better, doesn't it? I was supposed to go yesterday, but the hair dresser cancelled due to our weather. Hopefully I will get in the weekend or early nest week.

God Bless~

Love those photos! I want your camera. I want your lens. I want your paperwhites and guest bedroom!

Not really; I have all these myself, so what I really want is your talent!

And on another note, I couldn't do without my monthly visit to my Hoitytoityville salon and neither should you. You deserve it!

I really like the first one and I love the background colour. Thanks for the link, too! One of these days, when I get my act together, I'd like to create a few cards too, even if I only use them myself.

I'm a firm believer that hair should be splurged on cause you get what you pay for as they say.

Love, luv, luv the pictures.

Oh, I do love the textures--they are amazing! Sorry you had a bad day --I've been having a few myself lately! The miserable cold winter is really getting to me! Hope your ankle improves soon!

You've done those paperwhites proud Kate! I just love them this time of year, mine are just about peak right now and I'm kind of bummed that I didn't plant more to get me through the rest of the Winter! Love the hoitytoityville visit! I would have to travel pretty far around here to find that. xo ~Lili
