A few shares

I’m sitting here this evening, playing with the Black & White who won’t leave me alone. When he returns his toy, he gives me the border collie stare-down until I shoot it again. Tonight we’re playing with super squirrel, which is a sling shot toy, and one of his favorites.

Ok – this is really funny. Speaking of sling shot toys ~

In the time it took me to type the first paragraph, George was digging about in his toy box and has just brought me the only other sling shot toy that’s in there, which is super chicken. I just needed to share that with you. This is a smart dog. (But you already know this, don’t you?)

Still no word on the photo retrieval of my EHD (external hard drive) but I’ll keep you posted. Right before I lost all my photos, I deleted all of the ones on the camera card because it was full. So, yay. My husband took a couple of pictures today of a big hairy woodpecker that visited the feeders at the breakfast nook window.

This was taken using the Nikon 70-300mm lens through the glass windows of the house. My husband has set up all sorts of cut tree branches like the one you see in this photo. Hanging from them are several suet feeders which are double encased in wire to keep the squirrels out.

George, will you stop staring at me, for heaven’s sake!!!!!

Want to see something a little different? A friend sent me this link today to a You Tube video that features a little porcupine named Teddy Bear who doesn’t want to share his ear of corn. I had no idea that porcupines made these sounds.

.

And because I can’t share any more photos, here’s a song I heard last weekend while listening to the Coffeehouse station on DirecTV one morning. It’s by The Script, and I like it.

.

Sorry about the commercial at the beginning.

Ok, I’d better go now. There’s a dog at my feet who won’t stop staring at me. For the love of Pete, George. Cut it out!!

Pete. George. Heaven’s to Betsy.

Until tomorrow, my friends . . .

How wild is that! If you don't give him the corn, does he shoot his quills at you? What a funny little noise.

There is hope. My Mac crashed. I took the hard drive in.
They found nothing. I left it there for a month cause I didn't want to pay 85 dollars for a dead (one year old) hard drive. A month later they called. They tried something new. They got my stuff back.

It was a miracle.
Being a tightwad helped, I guess.

I may be just a cynical Brit but I thought it was dubbed on - didn't we hear actual words? But it made me laugh anyway. Blue and Bonnie love the idea of a toy box - how nice you are to have one in the room for George. and I like the song too - thanks! All the best to you and your husband Kate in Cornwall

Before too long, Husband will have those lobster buoys rigged up somehow as bird feeders...

I have a good feeling about your pictures. You'll get them back.

Also, doesn't blogger automatically file the photos to a Picassa album? At least when I go to upload pics it asks me if I want to upload from the blog, a picassa album (that I have never, EVER uploaded to but that shows photos from the blog so I assume it's some backup function) or the computer.

BTW, I am the last person to ask for computer advice, since I just ordered a flaptop (my father's term, I get my technical savvy honestly) with *no* software because i thought it came magically installed and wondered where Word was when I attempted to make notes at the library today...

But at least on your blog and in some album out there in the blogospace you should have some photos to fall back on, however small consolation that may be.

I still have a good feeling about that drive, though.

Jack is like that with The Light (aka presentation pointer) he loves chasing it and if you dont offer to play he will sit and look at you til you look at him, then he looks from you to the wall and back til you 'get it' ...

2 great videos! And a black and white who will not be ignor3ed. What are we going to do with George--his mommy needs camera time! You need a robot that will sling that danged squirrel for him! Google that, will ya--for Pete's sake, George, or Kate--or whoever!
